Yes, I know there's plenty but I'm going to be in London for a group social and have a free day on the 15th. Now ideally, I would be looking for a meet but such is the way of Fab, that may not happen.

So for a plan B, I'm looking for something to do for the day and would love some suggestions. Ideally something off the beaten path that isn't *too* touristy but would still make for a good time. And if anyone wanted to join (in a purely platonic way), company would be welcome as well 😊

The museums in London are free but will have tourists.

As I know you're Indian Joe, the Victoria and Albert museum has a lot of Indian history including the personal possessions of Tipu Sultan if that is of interest. I found it fascinating myself.

But there's loads, you can go see ruins at the guildhall. 30 years ago they found the remains of a Roman Amphitheatre. You can see bits of the original Roman wall that surrounded London 2000 years ago.

Or if you want social stuff try Soho.

Off the beaten path in Camden or even better Brick Lane has some fantastic street art.

Or Dalston, one of my favorite spots currently. Lots of nice little shops/eateries/cafes.

Those are some brilliant suggestions. I've never actually done a deep dive into India under British rule so that's immediately caught my eye!
