How does a kebab house have the best curry?

India continental hotel on the strand. Set menu, done! And the chilli roulette with the chilli bhajis is fun as fuck.

I've been to Tayyabs so many times, it's amazing. Not been to the Lahore kebab house, need to check it out.

The Tayyabs lamb chops are incredible.

The Great Nepalese on Eversholt St (between Euston and Kings Cross) gets my vote. Have not yet tried the other two.

The Arena in Hendon is pretty good, can't beat the lamb biryani. They have a menu of Indian/Chinese much to my surprise it is lovely.

A few places in bricklane too.

Yep, aren’t they just! Definitely try Lahore - it’s a bit more rough and ready than Taayabs but I think it’s equally as good, and it’s just round the corner. It’s another BYO place and specialises in grilled kebabs and of course lamb chops!

I have them tied, Lahore is very different in ambience - some of the big rooms remind me of being in a school dining hall!

Either way - they both put the restaurants on the Brick Lane strip to shame.
