Almost exclusively use Google pay now. Hardly ever carry cast as the no limit part of it is useful for doing shopping etc.

No need to touch anything other than my own stuff either which is a bonus.

Is there a way to use it on your phone now? I haven't been able to tap for awhile now as a fault with my card

Yes you can use the Google pay app to do contactless payments with just your card (if your phone has NFC which most do)

Google pay will tap to whatever your card limit per transaction is. Not 30 or 50. So can pay for shopping etc with no restriction

Yes. I paid over 800 for vehicle repairs using it.

Except for Tesco....the limit is still 30 regardless of using card or phone tap payment...just be warned.

I have revolut on my phone and even before this virus pandemic it was great for paying for stuff quickly and it's all tracked in the app.

So does everyone clean there phones when they use it to tap.

At least with a card it goes into the wallet - a phone goes up to your face

But whatever way to choose to pay - always remember to was your hands especially using cash - we can all do our part to shop the spread of this virus

You don't really have to tap. It's a proximity thing.

Plus I like the idea of it being a 30 limit. Takes longer for someone to clear out your bank account if they have to do it €30 at a time

Banks won't go kaput, they will survive and come back with new ways to milk us from our money.
