Somewhere in Co. Down

Worst was when I was 29 and no one remembered it not even my partner whom I was living with at the time My sister remembered a week later.

My best was in my 30s when I just had one of those great nights out that you just never forget.

Lost my dad the week before my 22nd and my mum 2 weeks before my 50th. My 40th was the only one I had a party for so that's probably the most memorable.

I have never had a good birthday. I've given up on it now and treat it like any other day and NO I'm not looking for sympathy! Just the truth

My worst was my 15th. We were waiting on my dad to die, he was circling the drain with cancer. He lasted another 5 weeks though. My best was my 40th, had a huge marquee party in the house with 4 kegs, DJ, tons of friends and family. Birthdays are something that we take for granted I feel. We should celebrate the privilege of seeing another year done and the hope of the next one coming. Life is too short. My dad was only gone 48. We are here for the good time not the long time!

Fire.

Best was 50th.

All friends I wanted, at mine, eating quality BBQ I cooked and copious beers and great music.

Perfect!

My 21st was my worst. First one without my lovely mammy.

My 30th was probably my best.

My birthdays get better every year since I've decided that instead of adding a year....I take one away instead. It's far more pleasing and def worth celebrating
