"Ya this list is completely wrong in my expericance... There is s difference between something like swinging having a bit of a shock value and being a bit titilating and something being unacceptable and condemed by people. " Oh and I have to say having number 10 on the list compared to all the other stuff feels a bit out of place to me

" This is, so true done even see how a fair few things on this list would be more acceptable than a swinging life style. If it is then they aren't anyone I would associate with. And somethings on the list shouldn't even be there like no 10. People's sexuality is their own business and certainly shouldn't be in a list like it's something to be ashamed of.

Just because something happens more it doesnt mean its more socially acceptable.

"The last one has no place on such a list. The others are all about choice. I hope we're not now suggesting that the whole lgbtq thing is just a choice for people " of course its not about choice, this list is about what your family, peers or public think is acceptable or not and in how you live your life.

"See what happens when you try and have an intelligent debate about your legitimate view on things " Debate being the key word. I find no. 10 on the list offence.

"I referenced that because it shows how far we have come, 30 years ago it was against the law, still plenty of homophobic people out there currently but things are hopefully changing. Perhaps someday the stigma of being non monogamous will change in a similar way, that is all. " I genuinely don't think the stigma of being LGBTQ+ and non-monogamous are comparable. I think, and maybe this is just because everyone in my life is quite liberal, that most vanilla people think swinging is maaaaaaad and that they could never do it. I don't think they see swingers as perverted or broken or disgusting in the same way as homophobes often see LGBTQ+ people. I've told people about my life style and that I've had sex in clubs etc and not once have they gasped in horror or never answered my calls again. They're mostly just delighted to hear all the scandal and ask 5 million questions.

" I totally get that but perhaps if you were married 20 years to your childhood sweetheart, the first and only person you ever had sex with before we came on here you might know where I am coming from. Its also possibly a generation thing.

" Its also possibly a generation thing. " I think you're right, there's definitely a generational barrier to some degree but maybe not as much as you'd think. I suspect that people might be more open and less judgemental than you'd think.

I suspect that people might be more open and less judgemental than you'd think. " Sadly i dont think so, theres a reason most couples want to keep it private in fear of being judged. Theres also a reason behind the post in the first place. However, at least with things like blasphemy and sanctuary happening, the younger generation definitely seem to be much more accepting.
