I'd say there's a lot of behind the scenes 'cobra' meetings between world leaders and there may well be a global united effort to curb this for a few weeks.

Everyone with a brain said this would be happening.

I know a few on here were like "dont believe rumours, trust the government"

But every single step has been said on the internet before the government do it. Even the death was announced hours before it was officially released.

The only thing the government has said that is true is that we cant possibly run out of food. Stockpiling it is crazy. Not just crazy but scumbagish.

Are you serious.? Im no expert but i dont think babies can eat solids(soft/blended) it takes time. 3 or 4 months some say 6 months before solids are introduced.

This is the kick in the arse we all need.

I admittedly wasn't taking it too serious as we've heard it all before with Bird Flue, SARS etc. but this thing is spreading like wildfire now and we need to get our shit together.

One day there will be a virus that will kill millions of us if we're not prepared.

COVID-19 is highlighting just how vulnerable we really are.

Most will not really think what they need and don't need to buy, they'll just buy and fill up their trollies.

No, I visit people with immune issues to check up on them. So washing hands, using hand gel, sneezing/coughing into shoulder are all things I do every day.

I know there has been nothing done for any of them, no supply of hand gel, no supply of food, etc etc. In fact one pharmacy increased face mask prices to 150 euro.

I never stockpiled hand gel so will have to stop visiting them soon. I bought some bread today for them but had to visit multiple packed shops with queues with no social distancing, and its now safer if they order online.

They are on their own now, due to people panic buying.

Its not just them though, I heard nappies and baby food are gone from shelves, and I heard fights are breaking out in some tesco stores.

This has me thinking. Any meets, house / club parties, socials that you may have intended in going to. Will you still go? Will the hosts decide to cancel them?

Social distancing is the new buzz word (kill word for fabbers!).

We live in interesting times.

I'm supposed to go to a (vanilla) gathering later on. It's still on as of 1645 today as I checked with the organiser. But I'm having 2nd thoughts now about going.

To be fair most if them will have access to media so should know what to do, also those with medical conditions will have some personal looking out for them and medical supply of sorts.

The homeless however, shit all except what volunteers are doing and that is more fragile.

To all seriousness we are working with the situation. If anything becomes critical - we will obviously take appropriate actions as we would never put anyone else's health including our own at risk if the risk is too great.

Current situation in Ireland republic as well as NI is not critical and everyone is taking the right precautions.

There are 1,885,400 people living in Northern Ireland. Out of those 1,885,400 there are 20 people who have this.

A small gathering of people (yes, 100 people is a small gathering compared to some major events) have a very tiny chance of anyone who has had a virus or is contagious being among them.

100 people out of 1,885,400 when there's only 20 cases that have been confirmed.

We can't be scared of facing the public. We just have to be sensible ourselves, take precautions, stay safe and clean and if we're not well ourselves - be responsible and not be around others to pass anything on.

Whatever happens- panic and being scared of any other human being being anywhere nearby but may be asymptomatic is not an answer.

"Child care, public offices large gatherings and colleges.

Will fab hosts cancel large socials?

Anything over 100 has to be cancelled so if any socials are hosting over that , i think they will have to cut numbers or cancel

Mrs crazy

We will keep our down to 99 then

Just mental haha

To all seriousness we are working with the situation. If anything becomes critical - we will obviously take appropriate actions as we would never put anyone else's health including our own at risk if the risk is too great.

Current situation in Ireland republic as well as NI is not critical and everyone is taking the right precautions.

We are all responsible adults for God's sake.

Only one question for you. Can you spot someone who is A-symptomatic?

Sorry but it looks like you have had you head in the clouds with the last few weeks. A-symptomatic is a person who has the virus but shows no symptoms at all. Which mean anyone of your meets could pass it to you. This virus will only get worse as weeks go on 68% more cases than yesterday
