So today I did something that a year ago I would've thought completely impossible. And I am proud as fuck of myself.

It got me thinking... We almost never give ourselves enough credit for our achievements, whether they're big (raising children/career success/beating illness) or small (not losing your temper/saying no to toxic people/washing your greasy AF hair). But we should!!!

So, what have you done lately that your proud of? Extra points if it's not sexual! Let's celebrate our wins together!

I totally agree. I'm v goal oriented. I feel like it really helps give me a sense of direction in life. And it doesn't matter if that goal is to get a new job or to just change your bed sheets once a week. Everyone's in a different place and can set themselves goals to help them move forward. Well done you. Sounds like you're a woman on a mission!

After 4.5 years of doing fuck-all regular proper exercise I started couch to 5k in September. Up to 8km now, slow as bedammed but I’m sticking with it, entering races etc and getting up early to go swimming on Saturdays too. Went to a club training session tonight, I rarely attend them as I’m always the slowest one there and it knocks my barely existent confidence but tonight I was only second slowest and my time for one mile has improved by about 40 seconds

(I should admit that the only person slower than me is around my mum’s age and they had a heart procedure done in recent weeks so they’re easing back into exercise but I don’t care I’m patting myself on the back tonight regardless)

Agreeing with everyone on this thread, it’s important to set goals regardless on if it’s something small or something big acknowledge your own achievements and encourage others on there’s.

Also just wanna say Well Done Moonage I know I few people who done that to, whoever came up with that idea done well. But it’s tough to get back active but you’ve to know people seeing you push on encourages people to push themselves also especially in a team environment but it’s up to yourself to push yourself on

Well done Moonage, I think the getting out of the bed/chair is half the battle and keeping on doing that (despite distractions & demands from 'friends') is the other half... the mileage (though tough in itself) is immaterial and it sounds to me like you'll find yourself doubling the current distance achievement in no time at all.

I was home on holiday and basically went cold turkey. I have one of the small vape pens, with the pod refills (in Tesco) which I use in the car as that was my worst trigger, having a smoke when driving. But so far, so good!
