FabSwingers.com forum: Wrong age on profiile

Why do people feel the need to lie about their age on fab? You know the way it goes, start a chat, all going well, thinking there might be something and then they send a face pic and you wonder if the age they a have on their profile is their age before VAT. Or they share their Facebook page (other social media outlets are available) and it has a different age on it. Surely catching someone out on a lie that early on doesn't really set up the basis of a good friendship never mind more.

Id imagine its it's because they could be outside the age range you prefer or to be honest they think it will lead to them having sex.

But yes getting caught on such an obvious lie doesn't bode well for any type of meeting

Can't say I've ever met anyone who lied about their age or didn't look like their pics so I'm not speaking from experience.

As BM said above its simply a way of getting around filters and could account for a lot of no shows at social meets.

I'm the age I am and don't see the need to pretend otherwise.

I got chatting to a lovely lad last night all going well 31yrs on his profile..Sent me a face pic there was no way he was 31 said it to him he was actually 24 said he lied because he was out of a lot of couples/females age range....

We have our real age on our profile and because I Mrs C am outside of a lot of peoples age limits it does mean we may not be of interest to some.

But at least people meeting us know exactly what we are so no surprises.

My age is correct on my profile. But I've had a few coffee meets where the other person's was definitely not. One guy was meant to have been 47 he was over 10 years older. I don't understand it just be who you are.

A few months either way or even a year either way is fine but changing your age massively to get around filters is really sad. When and if you meet the other person is going to twig anyhow.

I see it all the time.

Most common excuse for doing it i get is that they think they look the age the have on their profile. They find it unfair to say their real age as they are in better shape than others of their real age.

Some guys drop a few years cause it increases or widens the chat window ...nothing more ...plus also some guys look and feel a lot fitter than other guys the same " real " age and can carry it better than others...each situation is different and plus the fact l think if a guy thinks something more might develop he should own up to his real age while explaining the reason he dropped the age was only to get to chat to ladies in the first place .

I (Bee) actually had to look at your profile to see what age you are Mrs C. I would have thought that you were the same age as Mr. C and I've met you in person.

You'll have to show me what moisturiser you're using girl.

My age is correct and it never crossed my mind to lie when i joined. I would never share my facebook details with folk on Fab. To me that would be very foolish.

We have our right age on our profile but have been told many many times we look way younger than we are , we could easily knock off a few years and get away with it , but thats just a lie , why lie about it , we are going to be out of people age ranges soon but we dont mind , now might have to get a walking stick soon
