What is your today's amazing alternative tune.

Rule: Please mention something that isn't mainstream and that you occasionally listened to...

Today I found this band on SoundCloud:

"Virus - Cementerio Indio"

Meatraffle - 'Meatraffle on the Moon (Andrew Weatherall remix)'

I've been on a huge Weatherall binge after the news of his passing. The man was a legend and possibly the best DJ that has ever lived.

Greetings Georgepest from across the water and the Sussex coast..Happened to see your post re Weatherall and had to respond, and please excuse the book! lol

Think I'll always be in mourning for the guy - I'm 62yo and have danced to his beats since acid house days, and all over the UK. He was my top man, and his creativity never failed to take me outside myself and on a musical journey, especially on the dancefloor over the years. No-one else could ever come close to him in my eyes (and ears). I don't do the 'fan thing' at all but was chuffed to bits to chinwag to him a couple of times years back, the last time in a Brighton street at 4.45am after he'd played a blistering set and I told him so when I saw him walk past. Came over and shook hands and asked my name, chinwagged for several minutes then we had a laugh about my terminology when I thanked him for all the nights of pleasure he'd given me since the 80's! lol People who knew him said what a lovely, sweet and very funny guy he was, and I get that completely..

I had a great night last November when he played a pub that I use in St. Leonards along the coast from me, great atmosphere and so reassuring for me that he still inspired me to dance non-stop for a few hours or so throughout his entire set, magic!

Always respected him too for not chasing the big bucks and staying true to his love...RIP 'Weathers' and thanks for being there.

Have fun mate, and all you guys and gals in Ireland too! x

Today's offering is

" I don't like me anymore" sung by cokie the clown aka fat Mike.

Now while searching for a link to the song I came across this version. The audio is shit and video is just as bad. But it's the story at the start that interested me. It's about perception and how think might sound alright when really it's not.

Be kind to each other and sexual violence is never ok!
