I’m visiting Dublin in a few weeks for a weekend with a group of friends. Any recommendations on some good pubs/ clubs etc to visit would be very much appreciated

Anywhere in round temple bar area is good wee pubs to get the night started. Copper face jacks is a real good spot to end the night in from about 11-3am.

Personally I dont think you can beat a pub crawl from the top of Camden Street onto Aungier Street and then onto Georges Street. Cant be a better mile or so of pubs in a straight line anywhere in the world!

Go to Temple Bar if you want to meet more tourists and d*unken hen and stag parties. If you are looking for something more authentic and personable then Camden Street, Baggot Street, Georges Street and the small streets off Grafton street.

Loughlinstown

Cafe En Seine for a good lively spot

...then Dicey's Garden for some fun after!

...just make sure to stay away from those Dublin lads... especially the Fab one's as they're dirt birds!

Enjoy your stay!

(p.s ...Only joking lads )

Some good advice there.

Temple bar is a hell hole.

Aunger St, Camden St, Wexford St all way better.

Temple bar is just full of hens, staggs & cliche Oirish!

Beach? In Dublin?

Sure they'd catch more lurgies there than in Temple Bar

If still around by Sunday night I'd highly recommend Cassidy's on Camden St, the best live music you'll hear in town on a Sunday! Would recommend getting in before 8pm because anytime after that is chaos

Cafe en Seine, 37 Dawson Street, Fade Street Social - 3 great spots. Steer clear of Temple Bar, far too touristy unless that's what you're looking for. Mrs x

You can’t go to Dublin and not visit Temple Bar for a drink , if it’s only the one. It’s like going to Egypt and not visiting the pyramids

Avoid temple bar for going for drinks(stroll though, yeah sure) bit if you want to drink there, be prepared to pay 8 euro for a pint.

I'd recommend going to pubs on Camden street or Harcourt street

Dublin

By all means slip into Temple bar very early in the day for a cheeky day drink but avoid it at night at all costs.Dakota and Farrier and Draper(previously Lost Society) are both good spots. The Morgan is as far into Temple Bar i would suggest to go if ur friends persist.Steer clear of House as its at the arse end of town with little to nothing around it and generally full of people up with there head up there backside!!

As said by others, skip the Temple Bar area. Baggot, Dawson and (just off) Grafton Street have plenty of good bars. How many of you are there?

The Dawson Lounge is a bit of a novelty but you may want to be there early if you have a biggish group as you could fill the place.

The Well is a nice spot for a casual bite to eat too if you havnt anything planned for that part too.

If youve not been before it is worth a look. What type of spots are you likely to be heading to? Cocktail bars, traditional pubs, clubs?
