I was quoted 740.

Try FBD. I got it from them 490.

Depends on penalty points and no claims bonus obviously.

I have none of either but I doubt very much I'd get 490 on a van. I'll shop around with one or 2 and see

I have a small tipper and just got my renewal... €765 for open driving.

Full ncb and 0 points. It's down slightly from last year. Commercial insurance tends to be higher than the other.

I guess you're shit out of luck if you dont have someone who will let you be named on their policy.

Its all a big scam anyway. Huge profits being made.

No

Your the idiot

Driving too close and couldn’t stop

It’s your fault

Driving without due care and not leaving enough of distance between you and car in front

I’d have thought €700 Is on the cheap side, until my car turned classic I was paying up to €1700 on a 1.5?and was steadily rising. Now it’s only €160

Good man! most try those smaller companies like fpd and 123 insurance but I found that the bigger ones have now often the better quotes and better T&C, it's defo worth while to do a good shop around.

It might be worth your while ringing a broker, give all of your information and if you are a named driver on another vehicle tell them. If you have someone you can name as a partner then name them on the policy. Rates also differ from county to county so some insurance companies charge more depending on your location. Also, if you have more than 5 years NCB make sure you fully protect it. It costs more but protects you in the event of an accident. Anyone guess my profession lol
