"I’m thinking of joining CrossFit, is anyone here a crossfit member? Is it worth the money?" Don’t do it, run away from it (My personal opinion).. just go join a local gym, learn about what it is you want to achieve from going to the gym and enjoy it... if you lack confidence, then take a few classes just so you get the hang of things and understand how the machines work. Ensure that you’re doing it correctly, nothing worse than seeing someone doing it all wrong.. it’s all about consistency really.. Good Luck ![]() | |||

Good Luck ![]() I agree with you that kipping and bad form are very dangerous for the athlete but would that not be down to the coach and athlete. In my opinion ego lifting is just as dangerous. I've seen lads in gyms for years jumping to much in weight between sets not bracing and absolutely no form or spotter just to impress, at least in a crossfit gym the coach will be keeping an eye on your form and advising if your going to heavy. But that's only my experience and I wouldn't consider myself a crossfitter | |||

Was a female coach I didn't fit "the look" found a different place and was in training with guys lifting heavy than them. | |||
