If it weren't for the consequences for Ireland that especially a tory government will have, I couldn't be arsed. Other than that it all boils down if there's any rationale left in the British empire.

I dont think there will be a major difference in the long run for us.

It was like when Trump was elected it was going to be a disaster for the Irish economy.. it wasnt.

Big business and other goverments have enough sway to control them

In the long run you might be right, but we will feel the consequences of Brexit quite heavily at the beginning.

Im not so sure.... well any more than we already are... some businesses are at a stand still due to uncertainty.

At this stage hard soft or no exit it happening and everyone adjusting could be the best thing.

Dublin is expecting a boom because of brexit, however the other counties might suffer. If NI was part of the Republic then Belfast would get a boom too.

Those kinda things are always double edged swords, if it happens it will put further pressure on rents and housing prices and all that comes with it.

Ehhhhh...in case no one noticed....theres an election up north as well...which will be interesting to see if voters who would always vote down religious lines...may vote for candidates who are remainers...etc....will the DUP get a backlash as a Brexit supporting party despite northern Ireland voting remain....

Of course. The companies are buying whole blocks in Dublin, and they limited how much they buy because of housing shortage. Which is why NI would have made out so good as they have too much housing, are a city etc.

but they played hard ball with the conservatives, and now the conservatives will have a majority, and the north will have to deal with that, how the DUP fucked them over.

Tbh DH ..I really don't ,cause this Government will just use it as an excuse to totally fuck the people of this country ..and by that l mean ..if they don't fuck us over because of Brexit they'll find some other reason to fuck us over ...cause to the Government we're the " we can fuck them over any way we want " country
