Is the first rule no verification . Do not go out of your way. 30 miles I traveled for a couple with no virifcation . And it was a no show . Should they be named and shamed . To help genuine people meet

We travelled 4 hours a few weeks ago and no show.

Didn't name or shame her but was fuming and had to pay for hotel room.

Sorry to hear this. It’s not exclusive to non verified people, I have had it happen with verified people also.

Don’t bother naming (you will earn yourself a few days of a ban), just block and move on.

Told them I had to take time off work as it only suited them in the mornings ...at 9.30 they asked if I was still coming . I said yes I'll be there by 10.30 . I got there and no sign . At 11am I got a message saying sorry phone was off and forgot to turn it on ... Lol... I replied to say I'm still in the area as was having a coffee .. read but no reply .. I taught I would give them benifit as to having no verifications . I taught I was once without ver and know how hard it is to get your first . But it was not to be

Is a pain in the backside but unfortunately, it happens. I was pure offended first time it happened me so I get where you're coming from with name & shame. I wouldn't bother if I were you coz they're not gonna lose sleep over it. Block & next my friend!

No shows makes it even harder for non verified members like myself to get verified. There are timewasters on here for sure, they are everywhere. Genuine people get tarred with the same brush unfortunately. I was a member a few years back and it was the same story.

Once I had two no shows in a week, I was fuming, one I had paid for a hotel, the other was just a coffee meet but I drove an hour or more, I didnt name or shame, I did send a message asking them to be honest with the next guy then blocked and moved on, I wouldn't name and shame, consider it a lesson.

we have travelled and gone through unnessary expense only for people not to show it frustraiting to say the least

but in my opinion

we dont and never will name and shame

as it happens for a varity of different reasons

I know on the other fab site you see warnings in peoples profiles with timewasters and pic hunters named and shamed.

I think its only fair to do this and I dont see what the problem is to be honest.I can understand its hard to organise a meeting if you have a family but on the day of a meet with an hour or so to go...hotel room booked..travel done and suddenly phone off and no reply well fuck them they're messing.

Name and shame should be allowed

You eventually get older and wiser here. I had two hotel meets cancel in a row cancel as soon as I checked in. Yes I was raging to be left with the bill sitting in a room twiddling my thumbs. But it was the waste of a precious nights baby sitting for kids that annoyed me the most. They didn't consider my time is equally as precious as there's.

I usually only meet people now that I am mutually friends with or meet people through socials or parties. This works perfectly for me and I have not being let down since.

The problem is people with a grudge against someone would be able to get them removed by making false accusations. Noone can PROVE what happens off the site.

I never even realised that women get shafted also and for some reason assumed it was just men.

Yeah agreed but there's always a degree of trust anyway.

I think I'd appreciate the warning and if its from a woman or couple that have been on here a while and verified well I'd trust them enought to drive a couple of hundred kms to meet them and to belive a warning

Its a dam shame admin won't do nothing about this, you should at least be able to report it to admin to get them black listed.

First off Meets section should be introduced with a meet box on profile with for site supporter members only which gives members of the site an option to meet and

Then its agreed then. Admin will then be able to see that a meet was agreed with a copy sent to them. It will cut out all time wasters and the real people will be paying to use it, if anyone wants to cancel a meet it can be preaproved by admin first. They could find out if a meet was cancelled in extreme circumstances with this system and see that they have contacted the other person,in other words admin can decide if a meet was cancelled by the no showers for a genuine reason in advance. But there must be meet guidelines with it and a set of rules and consent etc.

Any thoughts on this would it work?

I think that is a terrible idea and I think the admins have enough to be doing without having to sort through people's meets as well.

People on here need to sort meets out themselves. Yes there are going to be some no shows and they are a pain in the ass. But also read warning signs of people like dropping out of touch just before a meet or being too good to be true etc.

In my limited experience on here I've learned that verification is some sort of holy grail, if only I could find my Indie costume! I've tried contacting locally but it seems people do not want to risk that either, I'd be interested in seeing the percentages of what people prefer, travelling or close to home?

We have had our fair share of no shows too .... it ain't nice when you have to arrange sitters and book a hotel .
