Yes always. I’ll never message anyone who has a crap/blank bio, and if they message first I’m unlikely to respond (unless their first message is great!)

And I instantly delete messages from anyone when it’s obvious they haven’t read mine

I always read their profile either before I message first or if they message me I always read the profile before I reply. If it's a blank one or has something like fill in later and they have been on for ages I don't usually answer anymore. An interesting message might make me answer but usually a blank profile just screams lack of effort on their side.

I read the profile before I even open the message. If it's bad / empty / outdated / lack of effort, I just delete.

We also rarely accept friends requests unless we have met

Sometimes the pics make the decision not to investigate further rather easy.

A full length essay on a profile might not get a entire run down either.
