I've read an interview with a sex therapist in a magazine last night (not at the hairdresser and not yellow press, but an offset magazine of the Spiegel aimed at a younger audience).

Anyhow she says that every woman could experience a vaginal orgasm. Crucial bit to get there is to explore and train your body to establish the link between vagina and mind, to connect the vaginal nerves to your brain via touch and to set off sexual arousal. This means to experiment and play with your vagina and not only with your clit. In similar exercising men can learn how to overcome coming to quick, not at all etc.

Thoughts?

I can only speak for myself on this matter DH ,I for one don't cum easily and usually takes clitoral stimulation aswell to experience a proper orgasm .Apparently all women can squirt too ,something I'm not convinced off at all.I am all for playing with myself to put these things to the test tho !

Well you can argue that there's amost always stimulation of the clitoris involved even with intercourse as the clit doesn't just consist of the clitoris gland but reaches down to the vaginal opening like an upside down tulip. So depending on the position there's more or less friction involved, the least with doggy and probably the most with her on top.

There is a whole library of literature written about this. Wilhelm Reich(a student of Jung) started the conversation in the 1920's,and others like Osho, have written and spoken about it. There are, apparently 9 kinds of orgasm available to women to experience, clitoral, vaginal, cervical, anal, and others linked to the chakras. Many of us become habituated to one kind of orgasm, as its our favourite so our brains become hard wired to feeling pleasure in this way only. A man orgasming quickly is a success in reproduction terms, and one who took too long is risking getting interrupted/failing to finish. The female orgasm is not required in order to conceive.

There was a recent study that tested the hypothesis that the phenomenon of the female orgasm may have evolved from a mechanism for triggering ovulation. For some animals such as rabbits or camels ovulation is triggered by sex (copulation induced ovation). Although human ovulate spontaneously at a certain time during their cycle regardless of having sex or not, the hypothesis goes that the female orgasm could be a evolution of the copulation induced ovation mechanism.

I really dont know enough aboutbthe subject to comment with any authority but in general terms it makes sense that you can train your body and mind to achieve physucal feats you have not previously beem able to.

I do think conversations like this need to be approched with a little perspective, even with self training not everyone will achieve the results they are looking for due to a multitude of reasons. Its important to make sure these people dont feel there is something "wrong" with them.

I had never heard that idea before. I had wondered what the biological purpose of a female orgasm was. I had heard before that it opens the cervice and allow for the sperm to travel easier to the womb but was never 100% sure of that. The orgasm link to ovulation makes perfect sense to allow for reproduction to occur

I'd heard the purpose of female orgasm was to bond her to the male by triggering the release of oxytocin. Given the number of women who never manage to orgasm at all, it doesn't seem a very effective way to guarantee ovulation.

There's also the full body orgasm, for men and women. And I've seen women have full body orgasms without any touch from their partner. There must be a hormonal factor at play. I have a friend who's so uninterested in sex, it's almost a chore. And has never explored herself either. She said her mother has also discussed her longstanding lack of interest. Genetics, hormones, medication, religion.... Many factors involved.

I've spoken to a few women of a similar nature. Never felt the need, why would you do that, it's not for me, tried it and didn't like it, that's disgusting etc.

Many different reasons but the only thread I could find was traditional upbringing, old Ireland religious.

Luckily for a few, I converted them but the others I had to let go on their own innocent ways

Sex drive is like gender, or sexuality. It is decided by hormones when your brain is developing in the womb.

In order for someone to be born with a drive to have babies, someone must be born with no drive to have them. Our genetics combat this because the person with the drive will have 3/4.

Being homosexual is also known to be caused in the womb, and it is something we will be able to detect in the womb, and abort a baby for, like aborting a baby for having down syndrome. Its one of the reasons I am pro life.

In order to create straight women who want to have sex with men, we must create gay men who want to have sex with men. Its proven that the sisters of gay men have larger than average families.

These days we allow women to be asexual if they want, there is no presure for them to stay in the village and have kids, so its more common for lots of women to just want occasianl sex, not want kids, and for the sex to be more of a way to deal with lack of intamcy and a bit of loneliness other than them actually wanting to engage in sex, and its more common now for women to want neither sex nor kids.

As religion loses its sway more and more women will have less and less sex as the catholic religion promotes sex, despite what people on here say. Catholic countries always have higher birth rates than protestant countries. Catholic girls are thought of as the most sexual in countries of other faiths as they are known to want to have sex more often. Its been a stable of American films for years, the girls come out of the all girl catholic university like nymphos etc.

These days we allow women to be asexual if they want, there is no presure for them to stay in the village and have kids, so its more common for lots of women to just want occasianl sex, not want kids, and for the sex to be more of a way to deal with lack of intamcy and a bit of loneliness other than them actually wanting to engage in sex, and its more common now for women to want neither sex nor kids.

As religion loses its sway more and more women will have less and less sex as the catholic religion promotes sex, despite what people on here say. Catholic countries always have higher birth rates than protestant countries. Catholic girls are thought of as the most sexual in countries of other faiths as they are known to want to have sex more often. Its been a stable of American films for years, the girls come out of the all girl catholic university like nymphos etc."

I have changed in the last 2 years. I was never able to orgasm in a 69 position, now it takes 2 mins and intercourse is better too. Im releasing way more fluids too. Gets better with age I think.
