Its easier all round to do it when its in the middle of the night and kids are asleep and you dont want to turn on a light to see where you aim.

Especially when turning on light also turns on noisy extractor fan and then you have a woken, whinging yoke to deal with

I tend to sit down if I wake up during the night to go.

Standing up and aiming takes too much concentration especially with your eyes closed.

I like to mix it up a bit, keep it interesting... Sit down to pre, stand up to poo. There's no right or wrong in this topsy turvy world, although the care workers here in the nursing home don't seem to look at it like that.
