I've spoken to so many women from this site over the months since I've joined and a common theme that we have all encountered is the view that because we are on FAB we're not worth any more than a ride or that we are sluts if we sleep with many people.

Firstly we are the same person if we meet on POF, TINDER, FAB or any other site you might meet us on. The same person that you would meet on a Saturday. Whatever our standards are they don't change just because we are on FAB.

I've spoken to and encountered it myself that men can't get past the fact they want to date someone they met on FAB. I say to these men. Grow the f*ck up. It's a website, plain and simple. People have been meeting in various ways for centuries, stop viewing the fact we are on FAB as any different as being on TINDER or anywhere else you pick up women. No matter where you meet us, we are the exact same person with the exact same appetite for connection and sex.

Also would ye ever pi*s off with your double standards and judgy attitude. Men get pats on the backs and told they are the big man when they add partners to their list but a woman who owns her sexuality and appetite for sex is considered a slut. BULLSH*T I CALL BULLSH*T.

How many people here are in sexless or from sexless relationships. I for one would have rathered been with a sexually charged person than who I was with. If I found someone from FAB or any other avenue that was as sexually hungry as myself and who I had a connection with I'd go for it full force.

Agreed! It always annoys me when people are like "it's a sex site, not a dating site". I love the casual sex/swinging life but of course I don't wanna be single forever. And just cos I'm on fab doesn't mean I'm not relationship material or whatever.

Well said OP. It has always annoyed me that guys can sleep all around them and get high fives or pats on the back and called a stud while if a woman wants to enjoy her sexuality then she gets slut shamed.

Why can't Fab be for dating also? If a person is into kinks or swinging or an open relationship but also hopes to have a regular partner one day then what better place to meet a like minded or open minded person than here on Fab whilst also enjoying themselves along the way?

I had similar conversation with my female friends (out of Fabworld but also swingers) and they told me exactly the same.

Four of them are married, me and another lady (from fab) aint and this is our observation: most of the men thinks "she wants only ride so no material to be my gf or wife"

I completely get your sentiment op, a sexually liberated women is often still regarded as a loose woman. Then again you could argue that the whole swinger scene is frowned upon. Unfortunately your appeal will change very little, it takes a long time to shift engrained yet outdated attitudes in society and Ireland has still a long way to go. All you can do is to liberate yourself further, which includes that you give a toss about those people who think you're not girlfriend material. It sources from the same fear or weakness of not considering a sexually liberated person as a potential partner, namely being 'outside the norm' and not being loved by everyone and all the other crap that comes with it. It's up to you to stay away from them, unless they're a good fuck and you just feel like having that at this instant and nothing more.

Finally yes this is a sex site, it doesn't mean romance cannot be found here, although I think going around here with the only purpose to find prince charming might not be the right approach. Go out and enjoy yourself, fight your corner of sexual liberation and it might happen.

This is not the average Irish guy, I lived in a house abroad with five Irish guys. Not one of them ever cheated on a girl, ever had a one night stand. They were just ordinary lads, who went on a date, tried to get to know a girl, ended up dating and having sex.

Nearly every girl on here would dump them for being boring.

But then they come on here and find sexually active and open guys, and then complain when them guys just see them as a hole.

The amount of guys on here that will see a girl as someone they could date, someone they could bring home, hang out with, or just sit around laughing at stupid movies with them, is the minority of men.

Even when couples do happen, its normally a sexual one, where the guy is just using the girl to get more sex. I doubt they do anything fun that is non sexual.

Reading through this thread MOST of the ladies high fiving each other seem to move in the same circles and have quite a lot of common veries. Maybe the company you keep is part of the problem.

Very few of the men that agree with you move in these same circles and very few are verified by any of these same ladies.

Alot of the men being spoke of by the ladies have been seen on other sites too looking for a relationship so here's your double standard. One girl got told she shouldn't be on Pof if she's on fab even though he was doing the same thing.

But...

Recently we had a conversation in my hairdressers and one of the girls was asked out by a guy who's knows locally as being very "popular" with the ladies.

I lived in a house abroad for many years, in south UK, with a bunch of Irish guys.

Many went on dates with girls, tried to get to know them and had relationships with them.

I don't think a single one of them never had a one night stand or, at some point, did sleep with someone else behind the back of the one they were dating.

Absolutely not one single one of them ever called any of the women they met, in any scenario, a slut, either before or after they'd slept with them.

I, during that time, was often referred to as a slut.

I didn't take offence and still don't.
