Well, it's that time of the year where we indulge in all things frightening, ghoulish and almost half as hairy as one or two of those coffee meets that some of us would rather forget

Anyway, just wondering what film scared the living crap out of you ...either as a child or an adult????

Amityville 2 "The Posession". At 18 some of the scenes made me look through my hands. Made The Exorcist look a cartoon.

The Exorcist but that may have been because I decided to watch alone, late at night and in the dark.

Apart from that The Wickerman, which I saw when I was much younger, was the only horror film that effected me

The Omen. The music itself sets me off.

Talking of music, Carl Orff - O Fortuna also scares the beejebus out of me. It reminds me of The Omen, even though it was never used in the movie.

"Based on real events" is a term to use very loosely with the Warren's work..

Its still a brilliant movie though!

I agree, birds are creepy AF, it's those dead eyes staring at you, and the claws *shudder* - they're just reptiles with feathers

Not a big fan of horror films, usually end up laughing at how daft they are but .Rec shivered me timbers when I watched it. Maybe because its in Spanish and I was frantically trying to keep up the subtitles while mad stuff was happening added to the intensity of it.

The English language remake was crap

The Shining for me, it’s so obscure as to whether it’s purely psychological, supernatural or even a mixture of both. More recently, Hereditary

Movies don't scare me as such but some movies can really give me a feeling of unease and put me into the headspace of the characters. Particularly movies that portray events that could happen in real life.

A perfect example would be Deliverance.

Can't watch horror films. To this day It is probably top of the list.

A close second would be Blair Witch Project, what made that worse was my job at the time required me to spend 3 nights in a forest shortly after going to the cinema to see it.

Poltergeist. I watched when i was 9. Me and my brother insisted we wouldnt be scared and as a punishment for being big headed we were allowed to watch it. Give me the proper shots. I love horror films since then but have never really experienced the scare factor from then onwards.
