I am doing it too but it's going to be a struggle. Injury hit training all along. Longest run so far is 12 miles. Wonder should I even bother.

Then you'll be fine. Majority of the race is in your head. If you've done one the rest are easier

2 hours is a fair push. Im not saying it isnt possible but that's about 2mins 48secs a km, for the 42kms, consistently.

Weather conditions could have a massive impact also.

7 of the top 10 marathon records have been set in Berlin in recent yeats, with the other three being London (2) and dubai completing the top 10.

It would be amazing to see 2 hour mark broken, but berlin time of last year is still about 1min 20sec about 2hours.

Thats why certain times and dates were selected for the weather conditions! Given who he is and given the prep work done ie the laser guide on the road for where he should be and given the fact the pacers are a whos who of running (5km and 10km olympic and world champs the norwegian brothers et al) it could actually be worse for him if he didnt do it.

Personally i think that he will though and it will be quicker than 1.59! 1.58.23 you heard it here first lol

No this year. A serious leg injury has me sidelined for longer than I’d like.

Best of luck to all running, it is one of the best days out!
