What do ppl Really prefer? The privately rented house for a play party or the private bar function room for a social event only.

Is one more daunting than then the other?

Is a social event a play party after hrs?.

Only been to socials and I think private area is more suited cause at least everyone there is there for same reason. Was at a social recently and people from downstairs were able to walk through etc so was hard to know who were fab people.

As for parties or after parties can't comment

East / North, Cork

I wouldn't really compare the two as they are totally different things. We have both arranged and attended both, and both can be a blast.

your imagination

Two completely different things and both have their pros and cons.

Attending a party in a private location or club might be a bit daunting for someone new or a bit more reserved, who might feel there were certain pressures or expectations if they attend*, whereas for others it's their ideal because the opportunity is instantly there if they run into someone they want to play with.

Some will prefer to ease themselves in by attending a social in a public venue, as play or fear of being pressured to play is taken out of the equation. But, as others have previously said, you then have other members of the public also using the venue, not to mention the staff, who may become aware at some point during the night that it's a swingers' event.

*You and I know this isn't the case OP, but when so many men can be aggressive when mailing women, you can't blame women for being nervous about putting themselves in a room with them... There's no block button when someone is right in front of you. And while it's extremely unlikely that any man would behave as aggressively in person or that any host would tolerate them doing so... You can still understand why someone may be nervous about attending a party or club for the first time.

I’ve been to many socials that ended having private play parties after. Just some of the attendees heading back to rented apartments or hotel rooms.

I do like socials as they’re brill at putting faces to names. I never go with the intention of “hooking up”. (Well, most of the time

)
