I've read similar articles in popular magazines. I think the writers simply rehash old 60'sand 70's Masters and Johnson studies. They are so outdated as to be rubbish. But they sell magazines and some people believe them. There have been a lot of new studies around sexuality and female and male response, difficulties, orgasm, libido, retarded ejaculation, etc, etc, since then. I wonder why these aren't published in magazines? I think it comes from the historical/religious view that masturbation is shameful and if you do it then bad things happen. Young girls have enough to worry about without telling them they are damaging their ability to orgasm later in life.
