Bad habits

I’ve recently succumbed to the fact I have a number of bad habits. I want to be more efficient and productive without the urge to waste time on these bad habits. For instance I could work all week and the week end I would plonk my arse down and flake out for hours without caring.

But let’s say I care and I want to shake this. I want to be more out going or use my time for better means. Would anyone have any pointers where to start? I feel i am not helping myself anymore

I can't say as l wouldn't know your full life situation or circumstances or even what you work at but if you're not into sports or music ,maybe should take up some part of one of those to occupy your time better but saying that ,it's ok if you've worked hard all week to chill out too on the weekend...the worst thing l find is that you work all week ,the weekend arrives , nothin' happens ,next thing it's Monday again ,to me,the weekend has to mean something .

It’s a certain guilt that comes with taking the weekend off. That’s deserved I understand that that’s your rest days but I would like to make more of them so I could reflect on them and think that wasn’t a total waste of my time ...

creativity and production would go a long way but it is just a matter of starting. Thanks for the advice.

See ,the way l look at it is nothing is gonna come knock at your door ,you have to go to where things are happening, wether it's a game .. a gig ...a show... a party..an event...a festival..whatever and even if you think there's nothing happening in your area to catch your attention ..look around at other towns etc, l don't drink so my thing is music or sport , so l'm always watching out for local gigs, tribute bands etc and hit them once they're within striking distance 70-90 mins...like l said the weekend had to mean something ,it's not right that one works all week and then on the weekend ... nothin'...but each to their own in what way they enjoy the weekend but the thing is to enjoy it respectfully and responsibly...and not feel on Monday morning that it was a wasted Weekend.

South Side.

Youre in Wicklow?

Climb a mountain, walk by the sea, join a Meet up group that takes your fancy, visit Victor's garden in Roundwood, have lunch at the Happy Pear, swim in Glendalough(you'll freeze, but know you're alive), bring a friend, in the evening follow the advice above.. Repeat on Sunday. It sounds like lethargy has set in, so embodied experiences will wake you up.
