I've been looking on this site for plenty of time now, but I don't understand one thing, why some people use curvy on their profiles and u have to get disappointed when u will met them. Is a big difference between a curvy and a large or ample.

How one person views another or they view themselves is completely different.

Me personally I believe I have curves in so far as I have boobs bum and a belly lol I’m not “straight” sized.

In my pics You can see me in all my glory or not depending on who’s looking.

If they’re not showing their full pics or only certain angles it’s most likely down to how comfortable they feel if you’re then “disappointed” by what you seen in reality that’s your own fault because ultimately you met based on the conversation you had and what you seen initially

and the word alethic is used by a quite a broad spectrum of men here too. Maybe ask for their measurements next time. And yes people lie/bluff on their profile whether it's there body type/age/sexuality etc and yes I consider myself curvy

Of course size matters, we all have preferences in the physical sense,and there's nothing whatsoever wrong with that - unless people decide to be abusive or unpleasant to those who aren't to their taste. Also, having different opinions on subjective descriptions isn't the same as lying about something like age or height.

I started using cm for heights, and women will call a guy out for being 180cm instead of 182cm.

I had a woman measure my height in a car park before, to make sure I was over her minimum height, when I was over her minimum height she wanted me to take off my shoes and measure me bare foot. I'm not even joking.

You’re meeting the person based on the pics they’ve provided so if you’re not happy with that it is on you. No one purposely does anything they put up what they’re happy with and it’s your interpretation of that that makes you message them!

Well I've met 3 men on different occasions in the past who each claimed to be 6'. We were the same height. So either I suddenly and temporarily grew 8 inches, or they lied

My own research on the matter indicates that men who say they are 5'11 or taller are generally being truthful, others not so much

The thing here with everything is that everyone sees themselves as a particular " type " in their own eyes..and others may not see the same ..and THE worst scenario that happens when that occurs is that it is totally demoralising for one or the other when a meet happens...a lady friend of mine told me a guy she knew ( not on fab ) met a lady and when he saw her in the flesh ,he just totally could not have sex with her ..it left her totally shattered in everyway about herself...they had exchanged photos etc but the reality in the flesh left him stunned..he made his apologies and left...so how demoralised did that lady feel ?..while this site is what it is..there are definitely times when ones esteem and self value and worth are seriously damaged by things said to them on this site .but back to the point of this topic...both ladies and men put their shape as what they think they feel themselves...it's up to the other person they're chatting with to decide themselves what they think and make up their mind on the issue...if a lady thinks she athletic...curvy... average.. whatever..it's their way of seeing things...one does not have to see things the same ...

A quick google will give a definition out there for curvy, i could post 5 links here to describe it. Anyone with an hourglass figure is curvy, doesnt matter how big you are. General rule of thumb is waist should be 70% of your hips.

But i agree similar to height, a lot of single lads lie about their height, i am just about 5’10” and have mad lads who profiles are 6’ and i tower over them. You know who you are

True.. I'm a loose 20 to a snug 22 depending on where I buy. Most people I know are shocked to hear this, because they see people of similar sizes and shapes claiming to be a 14 or 16.

You have slim women with big boobs and bums referring to themselves as curvy as well as plus size women referring to themselves as curvy. At the end of the day does it really matter?

Depending where you shop dress sizes is a no go I can buy anything from a 14 to a 22.

I'm the same I have big boobs but I'm a size 16 and I do have a wobbly bits as well. I don't lie when I chat to anyone I tell them exacy what I am. If they still want to meet then great if not no harm done. I put down curvy as when I had large down I was told I was too small for that you can't win. Lol

And op it's up to you to chat and try and suss the person out. The same has happened to me as you but I just put it down to experience and move on.

I dont understand your anger or dislike at a term a person wants to use to describe themselves. If a women or man wants to call themselves curvy athletic godlike or whatever personally that's a choice they are entitled too regardless of what you think.

I dont think for your sake my sake or anyone else's that anyone should change how they perceive themselves just to suit your own opinion on how you perceive them. Most men put athletic on here but ain't all got abs but not all athletes got abs in the same way all curvy women arent big tits big ass small waist pornstar types.

It would be a pretty boring world if everyone was homogeneous. We are all different in shape and personality and that is what makes us who we are.

You would need to be pretty shallow to have as your main criteria for meeting someone their body shape.

I personally am interested in the whole package and remember at some point you are going to have to actually talk to the person not their shape.

Also it is worth pointing out that people are not only being subjective about describing themselves, the choices on Fab are limited.
