Worth noting, it’s a different sport with different rules, so not comparing like with like. You’re being hugely disrespectful to the women who play.

Ah its a very simular game to be fair.. and I really dont think its disrespectful to say that this one game compared to yesterdays doesnt compare as a spectcle.

I am not saying ladies football doesnt compare to mens.

I was sinply saying the attitude of sure they arw lovely girls doing great is hugely patronising to the players who quite honestly probably dont give a shite id people are enjoying watching itbor not

On this particular thread only one poster referenced looks. Everyone else was positive. And not in patronising way as far as I could tell. They train just as hard as the men’s teams but the women are rarely going to be as fast or as strong so perhaps not as exciting.

very true some women are not as strong, fast or stronger, then men but they are not aggressive on the pitch, this is a ladies match, and both team's are playing fantastic,so let's all enjoy the game

And that was the person I replied to.

They do train as hard if not as often due to less funding and dedicated resorces. I have actually trained with a few of the cork players in the past.

The sport is just as exciting ans quite fast paced normally.

Todays game isnt due to conditions and possiblely nerves too on Galways part, its a bad game and my point is in a gender netrual discussion of todays game people would just be hinest about that. I have seen all these players play way way better

I didn't get to see the womens, because I was in hospital. Fantastic result though.

Also I agree, a "Conditions hampered the gameplay but they got a great result", is better than "Sure didn't the ladies do marvelous today".

We all know they can have great games.
