The option is there but does anybody pay attention to winks or is it a waste of time expressing initial interest that way?

I personally love opening Fab to see a cheeky wink waiting for me lol

They are useful if you want to show interest rather than write a message that may not always be read or even deleted. If you get a wink back then message them.

Exactly this but sometimes we come across a profile and notice that we have winked each other 10 months previous - oops.

Then it’s the apology message to them.

We like getting winks, we find it a a good way to see if we are interacting to others.

We send winks out too as it's a way of breaking the ice and seeing if the other Cpl or single is interested before sending a message to get ignored

Fabbing pictures can be done to show you appreciation the picture. A wink to me is a sign that you appreciate the person and are interested to know more so use as an ice breaker. I’d respond to a wink though not a fabbed picture. That said I never send them first as am sure women are inundated with them and much prefer an original message.

They work.better for women than guys for obvious reasons.

I dont send them, it rare enough I send a first mail but when I do I put in a bit more effort than just a wink or a hi.

For that reason I dont really reply to winks either unless I really like the look of thrle persons profile

Bar participating in a forum game I think I only ever sent one wink.

I look at them and may pop into profile but would not message. I never message first. Must get working on that

When I receive a wink from a random woman I see it as just an acknowledgement that she liked my profile and not an invitation to chat.

If I receive one from a woman I had been chatting to but not for a while, I see it as a sort of 'hello again' thing so I may start a new conversation.

I probably sent a few when I started on here but I don't send them anymore.

If I'm gonna make contact I send a message.

Winks have lead to some interesting chats on here and the odd meet as well. I'll sometimes send a wink if I like a profile if he winks back one of us usually message. I check mine regularly too for anyone who I might like.

We prefer a wink saves time. If not interested ignore no bad feeling if interested wink back, it is better than ignoring peoples messages!

Usually it's a lady's post or replies to topics on the forums that catch my eye, one can always guage the type of person they are by their replies or thoughts on a subject and would reply to it on the forum itself or privately, l think it's way easier to get a lady's attention rather than sending a message as they get 100's per day and it could just end up " another brick in her yellow wall " ..I've never sent a wink and don't think I will..

I would agree with you. I rarely pay attention and never respond to winks. Maybe I am remiss in that but I think if someone is interested enough they'll message.
