Hi folks. I've unfortunately been involved in a couple of car accidents in the past year. Neither my fault. Anyway, i think it time to invest in a dash cam. So i'm looking for recommendations. If you know the make and model. I'd very much appreciate your suggestions. I've done my own research but there are literally so many my head is pickled.

Many thanks in advance folks

Yes definitely stay away from Halfords and don't pay anyone to fit them. Sure they just plug into the 12v charger in the car so handy for anyone. You'l pick up a decent one online.

Got mine in Halfords, nextbase cam , got the cam , sd memory card and a hard wire kit for €135 , installed it myself, its pretty easy to do , my fuseboard is in passenger footwell, just be carefull taking off pillar trim , you fit it in half n hour , fit to a fuse thats only powered on ignition turn on , cam can be set to keep recording for a time after you cut the power, great app to download footage too

Thanks for the help peeps. I will be staying away from Halfords. The price of their gear and fitting is ridiculous. Thanks all.

You can get a good one for under 40 euro if you check Groupon online. I have one that does front and rear and works fine. It actually helped me in an accident as I gave memory card to Gardai to prove not my fault
