I’m curious to know is there any places people would recommend venturing to for a holiday? Not Spain France or the usual spots they’re boring and repetitive is there any places not so explored but that are really interesting and enjoyable that you would recommend?

Meath / Dublin / Birmingham

Depends what type of holiday it is you're after, relaxing/adventure/sightseeing, city break/resort etc

I think aight seeing, activities and a good congregation of tourists I think lying in the sun is a waste of a holiday

I can not recommend North Cyprus enough for a sunshine, quiet beaches, chill atmosphere and great value. Fly Dublin to Paphos and get a bus, taxi or car rental over the boarder. Well worth the effort.

Head to Iceland, it’s a really interesting place. Take a guided tour or hire a jeep and go in one of their tour routes.

cork

I was in Taiwan a few weeks ago and really enjoyed it. All major cities are along the coast with the rest of the island being quiet mountainous and just a quick train ride from the city centre. Food and drink is superb and cheap and you would get a good hotel for around €75 a night. I’d highly recommend.

Avoid flying through Hong king at the moment though, I nearly got caught up in the whole thing.

I like the North part as it is much less developed. They use the Turkish Lira so you win big time on the exchange rate. They drive on the same side of the road as us so that makes life easier snd there are lots of Roman ruins and crusader castles to explore if thats your thing.

Do you know what? I'd be well tempted. When are you planning to go?

September will be nice. Still in the thirties so not too hot.

October if you want to see turtles. Decent weather all winter high teens/low twenties but very quiet. May/June nice. July/Aug very fucking hot
