Hi all... I've seen socks and sandals combos out and about in Dublin... I thought it was a no no but can it ever be justified... or is it a fetish thing??!

I have seen young fellas wearing them lately, or else socks and flip-flops. I'm assuming that it's some ironic joke that an oldie like me is excluded from. Joke's on them, cos they still look shit.

Wear what ever you want. Be you and never worry about what others think. Oh and don't be judgemental of others.

your imagination

Is there an ironic way to carry off the socks and sandals look that could on some level look sexy? Would novelty socks somehow add a modicum of whimsy that would make you look and think 'Ahhhh I see.. he's being ironic and hip'?

Is there a type of sock that could possibly turn this fashion faux pas into a fashion trend?
