The Road to Nowhere

Is it just me, or does other people get messages saying 'Hi Miss Walsh' or some other random surname or first name that is nowhere near your actual name?

Is this a thing now?

It's a thing....

They just do it to get a reply. Even if it's just a reply to say 'sorry I think you've the wrong person', it's better than no reply at all... I get these kind of messages regularly. I no longer reply to them, as even a 'sorry, wrong person' reply is seen as encouragement and they'll keep messaging.

I think these people are probably doing this for one of two reasons.

1:They think it's someone they know and are trying to see if it is.

2: They are using the same trick as Starbucks use. Putting the wrong name so people respond.

We can honestly say, never had such problems.

If we ever did get messages like this, we would just delete, block, move on.

Oh I'm not saying it's a problem a need to move on from as such. Just a general wondering if other people were experiencing it is all

I’ve had this loads of times. Even once a guy went into great detail of who I was supposed to be it’s definitely a conversation starter! Every time I’ve replied wrong person I get oh sorry so how are you anyway

Its a beta male chat up technique. Happening in pubs for years "Where do I know you from did you go to suchandsuch a school?"

Dont recognise them from anywhere, just not alpha male enough to say "god damn woman you would look good sitting on my dick"

I think it's a combination of thinking they know you and an attempt to get a reply.

I use to get mistaken for another fabber whos not here anymore. I'd say they had the wrong profile and some Didn't take it very well.

Actually Marie Therese was a Austro-Hungarian queen for very long time. She is famous for she had a lot of children and her 'attraction' to Hungarian hussars :P

That's the height of bad manners. Imagine you left the site forever, and people on here were asking women if they were you, and giving them some of your details to double check.

I know it doesnt come across as that bad, but I think its bad.
