Not staying in ( cos there are better options ) but hotels around the radison blu, Amsterdam centre. I would always pay a bit more for the central hotels in Amsterdam for the convenience of walking to the museums , sights, restaurants rather than jumping on off trams etc. Never heard it wasn’t safe for a single woman or that it was pricey. Haven’t found it pricey. I do know u can get some extremely good deals combining flights and hotels on sites such as last minute and Expedia

Hi we have been to the Dam a few times and always stay in Rambrandt square. Very central and 10mins walk to Central station.

Bit more expensive but worth it as you dont have to use trams in and out. Nice hotels in square .

We're not long back from Amsterdam. We stayed one stop out from Amsterdam Centraal Station, at a hotel called "Urban Lodge". 5 min walk to the station, then straight into the city. Hotels in the city were pricey, but this was good value, and really nice. We never felt anything but safe and welcome when we were there.

Hopefully get back before chrimbob.

Travel a lot to Amsterdam for business and one area I love is around Vondelstraat, lovely boutique hotel there called Hotel Catalonia Vondel, worth a look. Also only short walk into centre and it’s safe area. Enjoy yourself!

Returning to Amsterdam again this year after an amazing visit last year.

Look for hotels near central station. Although but kore expensive it is worth it yo be in prime location.

I often was out on my own late at night and never felt unsafe.

Definitely a great place to visit x

Waterford

My favourite city to take a few days in.

I think I've been there over 10 times now and 6 times in the last year and a half.

I always stay around Rembrandt Plein, usually on the canals just off it.

Perfect location with a good night life in Rembrandt Square itself and within walking distance of all the main attractions the city center has to offer.

It is an expensive city in terms of hotels and eating and drinking but it's beautiful.

I just love it.

Ms here. Love Amsterdam.

No issue for female travelling alone. I love hostels in center, prefer to pay a bit extra to not have to walk far or look at train times. There are female only rooms & even a Christian hostel just outside of train station. Hotel arent that much more expensive, i just prefer social aspect of hostel. There is cheap & expensive food options, you just need to look. Get a tourist card (think its called tulip) for cheaper entrance & skipping of queue to attractions.
