The days when fabswinger s used to be good

n Ireland

I remember when fab first came online. It was a great spot.

Everyone then was a potential meet as they where more honest and serious about it.

Nowadays the lifestyle has become to common which spells the fun as in my opinion the more descreet a subject is kept the more of a turn on it is.

Plus there was less bisexuality, more straight guys who could hold a descent conversation without the filth .

Just like to know your thoughts.

The site gets more popular and it brings more people.I dont think bisexuality has anything to do with it. The site has something for everyone if you people choose to find it.Yes you will always have some messers etc but there is still a solid site here thats worth being part of. I just think its alot busier now than a few years ago and so brings with it more people and more choice.

I always see men/women talk about when fab used to be good. I’m here just under a year and it has been fun, but there’s also been drama from the get go! Trolls.. fake profiles targeting friends and myself, as recent as yesterday! All photos and veris have to be hidden.. again!!

I dont see how the number of people in the lifestyle has any impact on one's personal pleasures, what others are doing in their own time is largely irrelevant to me.

Nor do I see how greater openness on the part of others with different orientation impacts on me personally, surely people being more comfortable with their sexuality and not feeling they need to live a life which is at odds with their own being is a good thing?

As in "real life", you choose your company.

I have met some lovely people on here. Some eas just a coffee/drink a a few that led to a fun meet. We cant all be everyone's cup of tea

As for gay straight or bi what's the harm it's more acceptable now and people dont have to hide like years ago and in my opinion that is a good thing.

As for Messrs time wasters and stuff your going to get that nature of the site I guess but you learn quickly how to spot them

I do still enjoy it and have success.I have met some folk on here over the years and I always stay in contact with them even though some of them I don't meet anymore.

I think people who keep disappearing and coming back with new profiles under new names etc is a problem.

your imagination

The lifestyle isn't more common... It has just evolved.

Once upon a time swinging was a very discreet pursuit. People advertised in the back of Irelands Own and unless you all went to the same party, nobody knew who swung with who. Swinging was a cheeky little secret you shared only with those you met. The advent of online swinging sites changed that. Profiles meant that swingers could now peruse a vast catalogue of potential meets. People they would never otherwise be aware of, people in different places even, and a little bit of that secrecy died. People stumbled across the sites. People who had never considered swinging but thought 'naked people!! let's see what this is all about' and so came the era of the timewasters and pic hunters. This lead to questions about who was a genuine swinger or not, and lo! The verification was born.... and yet another delicate tendril of secrecy withered and died. Cams, chatrooms and even forums followed... And secrecy shrivelled to a husk. That secret smile you once shared with those you had met faded into obscurity as a nation of swingers became aware of your existence and activities through profiles, photos, verifications and updates. Through cams and chatrooms and forums and gossip.

The site hasn't changed. We have.

When we started "swinging" there was no FAB or sites as such, it was all done throw the back pages of Buy & Sell, maybe 2 pages for the hole of Ireland.

But if you arranged to meet it was unheard of not to turn up or pretend to be a couple when single. Fake profiles destroy it for others.

My initial thoughts are that this is a very odd thing to say. The suggestion being that bi guys can't hold a conversation without being filthy... or that filthy talk, or guys finding you attractive is a bad thing? If someone hits on you who isn't your cuppa tea (male or female) then just say no. Plus I'm really not sure that bisexuality is anything new. Discuss.

It's definitely changed, less genuine people on it, lots of fakes, sneaky trolling profiles and time wasters. Fab isn't a non profit making concern and should do more to out fake profiles and trolls. What do "on over a year", non pic verified, non site supporter, no meet, one line profiles, actually contribute to Fab. Wake up Fab and do something to improve things!!

Do you report these fake profiles and trolls? If people don't report bad behaviour then how are fab supposed to know.

This place has ALWAYS been full of fakes. We have had literally hundreds of meets over the years and have only once had a noshow.its easy enough to out the timewasters. If you are struggling to get a meet or are getting constantly stood up, then you're doing something wrong.

What u get out of here normally correlates with what you put in. Fab is no different, always has been. Make the effort to connect with people takes effort especially at the start but if you want to keep experiencing things you have to keep making the effort to engage, that’s always been the case on here in my opinion. .

I'm saddened by this thread, unfortunately we can't fix everything on fab to suit our own needs, its not online shopping. What I do not want ever to go from fab or anywhere is diversity, I mean if you are looking beautiful, straight people with no hangups!fab will never be for you!diversity from life is what makes this place great,we get to play with like minded people who have the same wants and desires as we do!so if you don't mind the small annoying things that are easily sorted.fab is still fab for all it's diversity.

Really really. As a couple (like you) who isn't fugly, we could meet on a weekly basis if we wanted. You could too. It's easy enough. Just mailfilter unverifieds, only meet we'll verified people, out the weirdos, trust your instincts. Have coffee meets. Accept party invitations. Go to meet and greets. Its not that hard.
