Somewhere in Ireland, in August, not thronged with tourists, yet within a 2 hour drive of Galway.

Suggestions?

Sligo or anywhere along the west coast is nice. Very few tourists are here

Duncannon is a great place if you can get in or near it.lovley beach and not swamped with tourists

Go to killronan castle hotel, nice spa and discover the upper Shannon region from there.

West of Ireland

Nice places to stay, great food, a couple of lovely secluded beaches esp if weather is good. Nice walks if that's your thing, Good craic at night if you want it, can be touristy during the day this time of year but mostly just daytrippers. I go 5 or 6 times every summer for 2 or 3 days, I swear it's like a foreign holiday sometimes.!!

Just drove up through Donegal coast and into derry was lovely. Think down south is next on cards check out the wild Atlantic way website some great ideas.

I do play music there occasionally but just love the place tbh...so close to Galway aswell.

Pick a spot and head off. Was at marble hill beach on Saturday would definitely spend few days around there just beautiful
