When I was 7 years old,

I met him dressed as Bottler at the Saint Patricks Day Parade.

A lovely, lovely man and brilliant craic too!

R.I.P Brendan Grace

Can't say I ever took to his comedy but a lot of people speak very highly of him on a personal level. A sad day for his family , friends and fans.

RIP. An absolutely legend and gentleman.

I met him when I was a kid and as a big Father Ted fan I was star struck. He’ll me missed!

Just found out that Mr Brendan Grace had an Irish No. 1 in 1975 with a catchy tune called...

COMBINE HARVESTER

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NcGUlliTFBg

...as well as singing the

SAFE CROSS CODE

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PEssgMQ1O_k

...as well as playing the jungle music loving

Fr Stack in Father Ted

REST IN PEACE YOU ABSOLUTE LEGEND!!!!

Loved him ,he had a penchant for following hotel waitresses around to pinch their bum back in the day before it became reprehensible to do so . My mam served him many a cup of tae and hang sangwidges back in the 70 s . A great loss to old Skool style comedy .

This guy was really a great talent... he guaranteed to get you rolling around from his original wit.

From very humble beginning he caught all our imaginations.

I hear he even toured US with Sinatra!...

Not everyone in entertainment achieves that distinction.

Thanks BG... RIP

It was also a UK no 1 the following year for a group called I think ‘The Wurzels’!

He never needed to curse or be vulgar unlike some of the trashy so called comedians of today.

Somewhere

RIP Brendan a true legend and one of the first comedian I ever had the pleasure to see live, condolences to his family friends and anybody else with his condition who saw him as a role model.

He lived life with a smile and did it with remarkable Grave.

All I can say is..."if you fall off that wall and break both your legs, dont come running to me!"

R.I.P.
