Tbh l would never ever discuss my private life with anyone..l'm a firm believer in " loose lips sink ships ".. all you need is just one person to fall out with you over maybe something silly or stupid and who knows who they will tell or what they will tell so l play all my cards extremely close to my chest which of course means anyone that l meet ,if l'm lucky too,that their privacy and discretion are extremely paramount to me...

What's the difference between being a swinger and a one night stand...?

I'm sure a lot have been there in that a night out finishes with unexpected bonus.. An instant attraction and desire on both parts that the night continues for as long as possible.

Unless swinging to define it as interaction between a single and a couple... Or a couple who are open enough for each other to play separately..

We're a lot more careful. Our rules stem from this experience.

We did take legal advice at the time and we were told that we could pursue on the rights of privacy, but were asked did we really need to draw that attention on ourselves, it was a catch22 situation, as we were told the story died away in time but you'd always wonder if people are still judging you.

My closest friends know. They don't get (or want!) the details but they've a vague idea what I get up to. Some of them I've used as safety checks in the past, either here or for meets from another site. But then I've been lucky enough to make a ton of sex/kink positive friends, some of whom I've met here anyway.

Well I could say exactly the opposite.

How can I trust someone who does not trust their friends or family? How can I trust someone who hides risky behavior from people? How can I trust someone who would be too paranoid to sit beside someone in a vanilla venue? Are they discreet or afraid?

I know I'm the outlier here, but pretty much everyone who knows me knows about my sexuality. I don't announce it without solicitation - I'm not confrontational about it - but when conversations naturally come up, I chime in - even as a professor/instructor, I let my students know I am a bi-sexual, non-monogamous woman - I don't usually tell them I'm a submissive but that just seems like TMI.

I do this with purpose. As I write on my website, the heterosexual closet is now bigger and darker than the homosexual one. And while I don't want the vanilla crowd coming into that closet, I don't like seeing how easy it is to frighten my closet mates who have children and jobs they fear finding out.

I'm odd in that I'm divorced (after a very successful open marriage about which we didn't hide) and I don't have children or a work in an industry that cares or would limit my sexuality. I hate that anyone lives in fear of their sexuality, and I really want to change that - especially where shame is involved. I have had a couple of men allude to 'outing' me to my employers - to which I responded that I would give them my employer's phone number.

If there are two things I could wipe off the planet, they would be shame and jealousy (I'd replace them with patience and generosity).
