Do you get a sexual Nct? I am attending the outpatient clinic in Portlaoise hospital this evening and I am just curious. I personally treat it like a dentist appointment I get a checkup every six months. I am always very careful but I want to be able to inform play partners. I expect the same from them as well. I value my sexual health a lot. I am always surprised it's not discussed here that much. I think there should be a more open and honest dialogue about it.

The last time I attended the midwife commented she wished more people would have regular check up s like I was doing. She said I was the only person attending that wasn't presenting with symptoms.

your imagination

Usually every 6 months! I'm due an Nct shortly.... But as I've only had 1 sexual partner in over a year now, I might actually skip this one... My GP gave me a good humoured teasing and asked me why even I'd bothered last time because of this. Should we decide to start meeting again... I'll be booking us both in

Sexually active or not I do regular check ups every 3 months. Well, I have to do regular checks anyway so why not STI at the same time? My GP told me last time that once a year will be fine but I treat the STI tests as my routine quarterly health screening. Weird? Paranoid? I don't care Its my health and I'm taking it seriously

Just remember the test only tells you that you were clear six months ago.

If something risky happened you need to wait 6 months to get an all clear.
