looks like there's going to be a documentary about swinging in Ireland this coming Monday... the preview looks quite negative.

Some badly dubbed actors voices, some out of focus camera shots and scandalous stories that are common knowledge already ! A startling revolution ! What else is new ?

Jaysus TV3 did an "expose" on the "crooked" second hand car sales market in Ireland. You might have thought they might have spied on a few dodgy dealers and filmed a few dodgy deals, or even spoke to a few punters who bought dodgy cars.

Not a bit. They interviewed the AA, a few Td's and a few newspapers hacks who all said twas terrible what was happening and something should be done about it, like......

So I suspect the expose will be as exciting as watching Vincent Browne pick his nose on his programme!

thats the problem with living in a country that is so 'religious' and thinks it is 'morally superior' when in actuality its no different to any other country in the world, and has just as much social unrest, domestic abuse and child abuse as anywhere else.

ateotd we all know things go on its just the countries elite wnna give it a superior feel.

saying that, we have found irish swinging very cliquey and have yet to meet anyone over here.

tv3 = trash tv, its like the sun newspaper of the visual/audio world. cheap documentary airing, add shock value and poof they make a programme thats worth arising, or so they think. hmmm rant over

Its not even trash tv guys. Trash tv would suggest there is something there that might shock.

Its total and complete boredem tv and I defy anyone to actually watch the whole program when it happens. Any of their Irish made stuff will put you to sleep.

has this programme not already been shown, where they go to a 'party'. Ireland must have no news as such... No bankers to chase, dealers or other criminals.. Think it will be negative whatever happens guys after all we are in Holy Catholic Ireland the Island of Saints and us sinners!!!

Here is one thing the producers of this program wont say. They wont say that swinging is done by consenting adults doing what sexy and liberated consenting adults do. They wont say that its no-ones business if like-minded adults meet to have sexy and orgasmic fun in private and enjoy themselves sexually with other adults.

They wont say that it's better than the sordid d*unken sex forced on women in the old catholic church ridden society where priests and "religious" forced their opinion on adults to their sexual destruction devoid of any enjoyment.

This TV program wont say that sex is a good thing when it is freely participated in by consenting and honest adults with other adults and gives a wonderful boost to your self esteem and happiness.

Watch it if you wish but don't forget that swinging adults are liberated adults who have the best of sexy times Keep it going Y'all

There was an article in todays Indo previewing it. Very bland and light on anything new. Could just as easily been made up from clips from any number of old ch 4 or sky 1 programmes. And yes I will watch it. You never know, might recognise someone.

It looked into several areas of the Irish sex life

- women having nsa sex (they interviewed two women, interestingly I can't recall men being looked into)

- Dogging (they showed some dogging action I think in Poolbeg). They also mentioned something I didn't know. Dogging is illegal in Ireland! so is any outdoor sex. Question is, if the doors of the car are closed, isn't it considered INdoors?? lol

- Swinging (interviewed one swinging couple and one swinging woman). The woman took a hidden camera to a swingers party

- fetish sex (some 'secret' footage of a fetish party watching some people being spanked). Some people interviewed

I got the feeling they mainly covered 'extreme' parts of these areas. E.g. the two single woman met quite a lot of sex partners, were shown as not being picky and meeting without any safety measurements. Also the people who were into fetish were into either extreme pain and one was a blood luster.

Just a bit of a recap. Please correct me if I forgot or misinterpreted something.

But damn, can't go to Poolbeg anymore, the tourists will flock in now lol

Who would pay 10-20 grand to swing when you ca do it for free

I found the while discussion on swinging so far off the mark, well based on my experience of the lifestyle anyway. 1st off, whats this with 10-20k to be in an inner circle??? and also the single girl that brought the camera to the party, talk about being discrete!!!! not a very good idea to do to any person, i mean secretly filming people, very bad form, Then she mentioned that she would have sex with nearly 20 guys at a party, did i hear right there????? i dont think the most horniest of girls would manage that in a week never mind a night, again from my experience. Maybe the other people that were interviewed we genuine but she certinaly was not....

Anyone agree with me or am i off my tits altogether?

Better still where does the 10 or 20 grand go who gets it, what's it for? And moving that kind of money around in Ireland would it not cause a little bit of suspicion with the banks. If put a few grand in the bank they want to know where I got it from and I have to sign a form saying it is not from money laundering or any illegal activity

And no matter what amount of money you pay to join any kind of dating site it cannot stop you from being exposed. So what if you have to take an oath to never talk about it what's going to happen if you do?

This program has created more questions than answers to be honest I think it is the biggest load of made up nonsense I have ever seen.

fact is they only interviewed one swingers' couple and they were the ones mentioning the elite club. They didn't say that they were part of it, so how would they know? It's probably a myth or they just made it up.

The people they interviewed were probably genuine, but they choose to show the ones which had the most dramatic effect.

Well work it out at 20 grand a couple it only takes 5 couples to join to give you 100 grand a hell of a lot of money to keep under the bed. I am sure if it were true (which I highly suspect it's not but if it were) and I am sure this so called club would have more than 5 couples (as it would get boring very fast if only 5 couples were the members) that they would need to bank this kind of money somewhere.

I actually watched bits of it last night. Being tv3 you had to wait for 5 minutes of ads to play on it first before you got to watch it...

i see catholic Ireland and the deference paid to it is alive and well. There do be judges barristers and solicitors and garda superintendents no less at dese parties. Well begorragh and begod and imagine the likes of it.

Oddly enough no doctors at it. They must have different parties

For fecks sake where did your man find this idiot!

I'd never of got that point from your post to be honest. But I do agree with you 20 grand is a years income to a family and they could do ok on it as well.
