Just flicking through youtube came across "the dock of the bay" by Otis Redding - and can clearly see scene on top gun where maverick has dinner with Charlie.

...can't lie ..am very partial to the MEGAMIND soundtrack ..BACK IN BLACK.. HIGHWAY TO HELL..CRAZY TRAIN.. WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE.ah yes..just can't beat a great rock soundtrack in a movie ..
