"Decided to start a separate thread for Pratchett/Gaiman connoisseurs rather than derail the Introductions thread any further Have you seen it? What did you think? " I watched the first three! I did love the book and I love Pratchett very much. I've gone off Gaiman though in recent years, I know he wrote the screenplay but I feel his mark is too much on it. Very much enjoying Tennant and Sheen though

"Decided to start a separate thread for Pratchett/Gaiman connoisseurs rather than derail the Introductions thread any further Have you seen it? What did you think? excellent only on part 3, but don't worry about spoilers bc I read the book about 50 times discworld adaptations to the small screen have been hit and miss imho" Oh I know! I was so disappointed by the Sky One adaptations... They were far too 'pantomime'. The BBC are apparently producing a series based on the Watch stories... I'm hoping they'll be better. I'd gladly see Gaiman and MacKinnon team up again to bring any of Pratchett's solo work to life, but that's probably just a dream.

"Only saw the trailer the other day when I read an article about thousands of Netflix users complaining that it's only on Amazon Prome Looks good and I have Prime so, after reading all above, I'll have to have a gander " That was hilarious... A Christian fundamentalist organisation condemning the series and calling all Netflix users worldwide to demand that it be banned and removed from the site... Only the series isn't on Netflix... It's on Prime, and all they really did was get the attention of millions of Netflix users who never would have known about it otherwise, who thought 'oooo that looks good!' and watched it anyway It was a scenario so comical, that Pratchett could have written it himself!

Although Coltrane could also do Detritus justice. I like the rest of your casting though! My first choice for Nobby Nobbs would have been the late John Hurt, but Gary Oldman is an excellent choice. Casting Carrot though... That's going to be the really hard one, and they might actually be better off putting a talented newbie in the role.

"It’s always. Finished it and want to rewatch. Huge fan of both Gaimen and Pratchett. Met Gaimen last year, and an absolutely lovely guy. Happy to meet and chat with fans? Chatted about a lot of his work On side note anyone watch American Gods? Heard he has deal to release a few project with amazon A x " Watched it and enjoyed it. Ian McShane was brilliant as Mr Wednesday.

"Downloaded the series and watched it three times so far. Dying for Amazon to adapt more - especially from the Discworld series. Sadly Christopher Lee is gone so he won't be playing Death (he was brilliant in Hogfather and The Colour of Magic) but I see so much potential in this. " Christopher Lee could have brought the role of a statue to life in fairness, the man was a phenomenal actor. Maybe we need to start petitioning Amazon for a Discworld series?

She's too dippy. Lady Sybil is feminine and soft. I suppose a tall older BBW actor would be preferable.
