so to get meets do you post your real age on a profile or your Fab age ... Fab age is akin to Fab straight ... the truth comes out when you meet...without botox or fillers it's difficult to conceal the age wrinkles & lines.

for the record my profile age is my real age...does it make a difference, possibly but unless you are Dorian Grey it is difficult to hide your age.

I give my real age I just dont see the point in lying about it. To be honest it does annoy me a little that some do lie. Don't say your 45 when your really 55.

You'll get differing answers on this.

But yes it makes a huge difference depends on who one is looking for and if you are male or female or couple.

Most ladies have up to 40 on age filters. Then 45, then 50, then 55. Exponentially cutting off most.

The biggest issue is exposure or lack of. The age filter cuts out any updates, or statuses from those outside, so unless you're a regular in the forums you'll not be noticed even if they are open to meeting older people.

....I think people put up a younger age they think they can carry...as in 4/5 yrs younger...some ..both ladies and gents age better...and they have the " you look way younger than are look "...plus on this site the average age that the ladies age cut of point of meeting is mid to late 40's ..even though they have 18-99 on their profile....so if guys have any chance of chatting to a lady ,they have to be in that range which may mean they will put their age down to whatever age it suits best to help them get chatting and get a meet...and as l said hope that they can carry it ...both Male and female...my tuppence worth on it anyway.

I put a fake age on my profile when I joined. But not to try and catch out potential meets. It was to throw a stalker off the trail that it was me on this profile.

I'm 47 and very proud of it. Just never bothered to change the age. Makes little odds as I don't go mad looking meets and once I'm chatting to someone I would make them aware of my age and more importantly why it's out by a few years.
