engines are restricted by manufactures even yours, remaps only de-restrict them, your Audi is mapped if it's only 2ltr and 190bhp? S-line is only your interior trim...bit like the s and se models on Passats. Cup holders arm rest etc

All Audi's and VW's are up to 30% underpowered from the factory. They do this to protect the engine and prolong it and also from the cost issue that would arrise in warranty claims if they had full power. Most can be remapped safely upto 20% but people often max them whic puts a serious strain on the engine and flywheel.

"Got to sit in a brand new Db11 and a V8 Vantage and a Bentley bentega but can't beat going around. Corner in mk2 Ford escort sideways"

New cars are lovely but they don't hold the same mystique.

Nothing like lifting the keys to an old Porsche/Escort/Toyota etc.

The first thought is "I hope this bastard starts. Then its "hope I don't wrap this bastard round a lamppost" lol.

Every single drive is an adventure. You feel like you're achieved something when you get to where your going.

New cars get you there but you get out and unless someone has pissed you off along the way the journey is a non event.

You won't buy a manta 400 for 10k, or an rs escort. A good condition rs is 20-30k at present, and a genuine manta 400 is fast approaching about 50k. Rarity is their curse and drives prices upward.
