Stuck to her game and fought tactically, got sucked into helicopter fighting in the 9th but pulled it back to her own fight in the 10th, what an example to irish sport, she is a lady and a hero we can be proud of

She is a true champion always was and always will be.But now that she has won everything worth winning she should retire.

She has nothing more to prove to anyone. Get out before it's to late.

She never got the credit from the Irish media she deserved, but a rematch in Croke Park would sell-out especially as she's now Eddie Hearn's cash cow

Most importantly though she's an amazing role model, humble & she can can whoop ass too Ireland's favourite daughter...

GO KATIE!

This is true. She might be the champion. But when there is very little opposition it's not as hard. Very few women that are full time boxing.

Great success in the Olympics.but Her personal achvments are over hyped

-----------------

"Personal achievements are over hyped"????

- She petitioned to have women's boxing introduced into the Olympics

- A 6 time amateur world champion

- She then won Olympic Gold only to be robbed out of her chance to be a double Gold olympian

- She tied up her pro boxing divison within 2.5 years

...Soooo what have you been up to yourself then?

Professionl is what I ment. Ops not personal. Ha auto correct strikes again.

But ya her professional career is not all that it'd been made out to be. Taking belts off part time boxers that have to look for days off work to fight her.

She is a big fish in a small pond as fare as boxing goes

But she is so good she just makes it look easy.Sure last night was tough but even the greatest boxer of all time Muhammad Ali didn't always have it his own way in the ring.

I'm not saying that she is not top of her game. I'm just saying that her game does not have many full time professionals in it and most of her opponents are really just amatures.

Ok that's not her fault. But at the same time if does mean that here professional record is not really all that remarkable.

As someone with zero interest in boxing I have to say she is a great ambassador for this country, someone to be very proud of.

She's humble, dedicated and so talented.

Go Katie!

Katie’s fight was close I can see how people think she won and lost. I think she lost and if you look at her face after the fight she looked like she knew she lost. Same with Joshua when he was standing in the corner you knew he was done. The eyes never lie

Styles make fights plus the fact that Joshua seems to have problems fighting smaller men (remember the Takam fight? didn't help...

Could be an injury or a perfect storm of bad circumstances that just went against Joshua but the AJ we normally see didn't show up...

Am more a Tyson Fury fan myself but I think Joshua is a great boxer & a class sportsman both in victory and defeat

All of AJ fans are total shitheads calling the mexican guy out of shape, fat bastard.

Aj up there giving it loads flexing his muscles, wearing under armour, and gym gear, and doing protein adverts.

If he over trained hes a bigger mug and so are his fans than if he just lost fair and square.

She is champ of a sport no one cares about.what great achievement is that?

Name another female boxing champ?

All she done was encouraged more poor working class girls to take up a ridiculous sport

That proves my point

She is not a pro world champ

She's an Olympian the only place we ever hear about female boxers

Do your homework. She is now a pro boxer having won her first 5 pro fights, her last making her the interim WBO world female flyweight champion.

While it might be a brutal sport for ladies to be involved in no one can deny her achievements in the sport. You can only beat what's put in front of you and I have never heard of Katie Taylor refuse to fight anyone. Having said that I would be delighted if she retired and go out as she deserves a true champion.
