I'm preparing to do a podcast later this week. The topic will be an Irish perspective from a man's point of view on sex, intimacy, relationship, connection, etc. I'd welcome your thoughts , both men and women, straight, bi, TV, TS, TG, or any other orientation. The areas I will focus on among others, are, secrecy/openness , shame/shameless, guilt/joy. What are the issues for you? Thanks.

Great to see this is being done. From a personal perspective it’s often frustrating that some idiots can fuck it up for the rest of the solo guys - can’t help cpls being wary etc after bad experiences but it’s frustrating none the less.

It’s great that the discussions are now being had on sexual behaviour in general - it’s fantastic to hear other like minded voices that are sane and rational and balanced - look forward to the podcast

I first visited to Dublin in 2014 with the idea that irish are more conservative and close minded than UK people and prepared mentally to get loads of timewasters.

Guess what..100% turn up rate and I am so surprised at how open minded and self secure they are. Yes I am still a secret meet for most of them but at least they showed up when they say they will (unlike fabbers in the UK).

I think Irish are more honest (to themselves at least) sexually than UK people.

*just based on personal experience.

It’s interesting to see that outside looking in perspective - not that your an outsider any longer sultry - you know what I mean. I think that there is still a long way to go for certain sections of society. I suspect they feel they must comply with social conventions. This would I presume be more prevalent in older more “established “ people

I agree with you Bunny. Not denying the fact that people like me are still a taboo to many and the pariah of the society (fabs and real world) all over the world, not only in Ireland but i disagree in forcing people to accept what they wont. For me, if someone wants to gain respect, they have to respect others too.

However for those irish guys who agreed to meet and arranged the meet, they are, so far, touch wood, honest to themselves and turn up as promised.

That's why i keep my friend list and verifications hidden, to protect the privacy of those who have met me.

In the UK, even with careful filtering, i still get those timewasters creeping through.

I havent met any other nationalities for comparison though.
