It would be a brilliant idea because the mods can't or won't keep up with the endless cycle of repeat fake profiles. That said you would probably get an instant ban for naming naming and shaming

That's excstly it, you would get banned for it, we keep an offsite list of all the fakes we come across and we screen shot the pics to match against any new fake profiles that pop up but even then a few get through a bit and it's annoying and a massive waste of time

Its a good idea but might end up badly cause it's against the rules and all you get from it is a ban .

Also you would get people that got rejected trying to get "revenge" by reporting others as fake or this or that .

Maybe just a Kik group to add a list of fakes.I had a guy this morning who is verified by 5 people,saying he's a couple and has pics up.but when we video called to chat to them,he said its just him and would love to meet

The kik group would be a good idea if run right, yea we have had a rush of fakes over the last few days, we try to push from live pics on kik as quickly as we can and have even had some that used there phone to take a picture off a computer screen and pass it off as themselves

Most here are kind enough to give a heads up if you are unsure about certain people. So many come and go so I just add a little note to the profile of any one i think is suspect. I tend not to waste much time thinking about the 50/50's

Hahaha that's well and good for people that look like yea and exotic girls, my missus draws but I can't afford to be so choose, not that there is anything wrong with that, so tend to give everyone the benefit of the douth till they show they are fake

Ah you assume I the male meet people based on my perceived looks. I am decidedly average and if I never had a meet here based on my personal looks I couldn't care less. I certainly wouldn't expect her to take one for the team and nor would I for her.

Weeding out fakes isn't about getting higher quality meets. It's about ensuring fakes get no meets at all and keeping genuine people safe

But what keeps fakes here is that the do get attention and no I was not pointing out your look but your your skills with the cameras, better pictures means better attention so when the time comes that you are looking to meet you will find that the people you like are more likely to open and reply to you messages, let's be honest here presentation is key on sites like this and we as a couple love to see the skills and pictures of some of the people here, we would love to have half the talent with the camera, as to the fakes, there are real couples on here that struggle to meet anyone and they are who the fakes target the most

It's not for me, I like to make up my own mind about people, and seen too many people get labled as a time waster or a troll when they were just a bit off beat to take part in naming people I believe to be fake.

But it will probably be good for people who want to cut out as many fakes as possible quickly and dont mind a few innocents getting caught in crossfire.

Best thing when in doubt , request a kik video or at least a picture holding something , you know like you have to do to be photo verified here

The name and shame can back fire and turn into a revenge for reject field , I will give an example , there is someone here i know for years , we spot eachother , i went to her profile there are lots of verify all nice but there's one (she put public for the fun of it), calling her fake , time waster ,etc... turns out was a guy she refused to meet .

Sorry I misunderstood your last point. I don't pay much attention to the quality of the photo as not everyone is overly confident behind let alone in front of a camera. You will learn far more about someone buy talking to them in cam or reverse searching photos. At the end of the day one simply shouldn't take a chance if you feel it could go tits up

Why all the need for the drama and effort of naming and shaming, doing up lists etc. It wastes far too much time and energy on something that will never go away i.e. fake profiles.

If we come across fakes we just block and move on, they're not hard to spot anyway. We certainly don't lose sleep over it.

So ur saying they are a real person who hasn’t been photo verified or hasn’t met anyone ?. Just curious. So they come onto the site and don’t meet anyone ?

I do see an increasing number of profiles who say ( normally in Capital Letters), that they are not meeting. They are just here to catch up with friends and chat . A sort of adult Facebook .

We will give them people the chance, we will ask them to go to kik and we know there fake when they send face pics from the gallary but can't figure out how to send a live pic on kik

I’ve a wee list of my own ... like previous said not hard to spot. I don’t personally have any issue with ones with fake pics unless they are using mine lol .... but there are clearly ones that get fake verifications after a few hours on the site “met this girl months ago bla bla” sometimes think there’s something more sinister at work there than some dude pretending just to be vin diesel / the motivator for the other type of fake I feel is the more dangerous

And now all the grey areas come into play. Back to the original point, I think erotic meant a list of confirmed fakes and not everyone we feel a bit suspect about. The only way fab could every tackle fakes is to block the IP address if confirmed fake profiles. I have no idea how plausible that is to be honest

It's a very hard question to answer, because obviously, unless it's a bot for an escort agency or porn site, profiles do belong to real people... So how do we classify fakes??

To me the fakery is in the intent. If someone is as they state on their profile... is actually the gender, age, etc., that they claim to be, and isn't pretending to be something they're not... they're genuine. If someone isn't what they claim to be, or is persistently leading people on by pretending they want to meet, when they have no intention doing so (pic hunters for example), these to me are the fakes. It's the intent to deceive that makes someone a Fab fake, in my opinion.

Most fakes are attention seekers . If you know for sure they are fake as in fake photos or photo hunters and they post on forum message people on that thread. Or put it as your status.

In most cases, these things don't carry much weight, but unless they think it's really worth the risk and possible payout, media won't use information on someone's profile.

However.... There is an exception to that...

When someone posts a parody of these disclaimers on their profile, telling Sydney University or whoever to use whatever they want as long as they Fab it or use their best photos or whatever line they think will make them sound clever, they are in fact giving anyone who wants carte blanch to use their photos and information. They have effectively put a waiver on their own profile leaving themselves open to being outted by another member on social media (as sometimes happens with reject-revenge scenarios), or being reported on in the public media, should there ever be a slow news day or if it turns out that one of their meets was a Z list celebrity who needs some exposure... Or indeed a wannabe porn star looking for exposure

I do have a mock post about that on my profile saying , gards , fbi cia or whatever can use my photos as long they leave a fab on them .

No matter what you post on the profile about privacy , its like Facebook as long you post something public that's it , public . Now you can go after anyone that wrongly uses your information or pics but that falls on another law .

For instance , when you walk into a shop that has cctv , you agree to be watched and recorded , only if they share those recordings they are breaking the law

I did have to laugh at a new profile that had photos taken from Google. On his profile he was lamenting the fact that the woman were being so guarded.

I think site supporter is a good indicator that someone is genuine as they wouldn’t pay the money if they were fake.

Of course there will be fakes that do this just just my experience.
