So....just seeking opinions....I've been meeting a lady for the last few months, from another site, and we meet once a month. I book and pay for hotel. We are both in similar jobs, she allows me to pay every time, and never offers. Honestly, i dont mind as she is a sexbomb, but just wondering what people think in general?

You wouldn’t be asking for people’s opinions on here OP if you weren’t feeling like you’re being taken for granted at some level.

Just mention it casually next time, don’t make a big deal of it and see what happens.

If we invite we pay. But if i meet alone then if they pay i buy food and pay for a meal. If things are a little tight im honest about it and then its up to the person. But everyone is on here for fun so shouldnt be down to one person to pay

That's precisely the reason why I dont do hotel meets of any kind.

It's always more than likely to be a one off as a perspective of any one party paying for it (even if it's a split) just seems like a waste to me.

As currently being a part of a couple - our view is just the same. We are looking for regular people to be friends with. And one off hotel thing is just not appealing. Hotel play could serve as a brilliant treat to break up a routine but nothing less or more.

She said she'd pay the fine but I think we all know how that went. needless to say I declined further meets.

Had the same 3 days in Donegal for a friends( she is not a fabber) bday , she asked for a mmf , set everything up , that morning the guy aunt died ( he is in fabs ) , then she started giving excuses only should up for 2 hours during the 3 days , always with promises oh i get away this afternoon , then evening , then tomorrow morning from breakfast and all day , then after lunch .

So there I was stuck on my own in fecking Inishowen

I never really do hotel meets cos I can't afford it. I think that if you're both in a similar position to pay (ie. Income levels) then half and half is absolutely fair. If there's a big difference in income, I think that should be taken into account. And also, some men really like to pay. Everyone's different I guess.

Same here. If we were staying in the room we would think it's unfair to ask for a contribution.

But yes, if it's just used for the purposes of the meet then 50/50 is reasonable.

Well I never have any problems with paying for hotels. But my last two meets from Fab cancelled as soon as I checked in to the hotel with feeble excuses. As a single Mammy I don't get much time off. So I was left with the bill and a waste of baby sitting favours.

Happened to me a few times in my first year on Fab. Even had a no show after flying to Manchester for a weekend meet, bought two tickets for Les Miserable too (oh the naivety of trust I once had on fab). It's these experiences that made me just look at those who could accommodate. I've had the odd hotel meet since but its been arranged while I'm travelling and have needed accommodation, so if they don't show I feel less put out.

Shocking that to be honest. It would be bad enough being stood up for a coffee but after organising babysitters and hotel is unforgivable!!!
