City are something Liverpool never were premiership champions .and pool fans are so sick about that ....they go on and on about winning European 5 times .actually they haven't when they won it first it was a different competition .a knockout competition called the European cup. With just a few clubs in it .back then Nottingham forest. Aston villa. Celtic ...anyone and everyone was winning it.....come on city and spurs

Ah the good ol days... that game against Gillingham......

I have to admit the source of the money and the fact we have clearly taken the piss out of FFP rules ever soslightly takes the gloss off the amazing highs and football we get at the moment.

They didn't buy the League? Honestly? Currently being investigated by the Premier League, UEFA and FIFA, over allegedly persistently breaching financial fair play regulations.

But hey, anyone winning it's better than Liverpooh winning it!!

So sick of people bashing liverpool wats their problem. Liverpool is fact the best club in England football with a passionate fanbase of plain working class people who have suffered great injustices in their lifes both inside and outside of football. The history of football tells the true of story of liverpool fc. So stop the bashing and respect them for wat they are just the way thru liverpool supporters congratulate Man city on their title win today. And hopefully we can bring aul big ears back on 1st june.

How about......most of you concentrate on supporting your own, one trip to watch United, pool, etc would pay for a season ticket to a League of Ireland team. Games generally great to watch....can't understand people talking about English team and saying "we" etc. Take Dundalk for exame over last 5 years, and the teams they beat in Europe who had budgets of tens of millions, so none of your the " standard is crap" or " facilities not good enough"..

.well guess what....if more people started going, more money for clubs means more investment into infrastructure.

It doesnt have to be an either or situation.

Its only natural people want to watch and support sport at its elite level.

The people that start going to League games here when a team starts winning get a fair bit of abuse of the same guys who are in the stands each week complaining about a lack of support and coverage. I have seen it each time City(Cork not Manchester) get a good team together.

It should be fairly easy to win a league when the owner of the club has a trillion dollars in the bank and ignores FFP rules. I used to really like Man City but I don’t like what they have become. Any victory city have these days leaves me a bit cold and disappointed with the way man city and football in general has gone the last decade or so. Now City are like PSG in France, a soulless plaything for some rich Arab sheik. Enjoy it while it lasts. City lost its soul when it left Maine road and got itself that soulless commonwealth games stadium they now call the Etihad. And don’t get me started about the standard of owners city have had lately.....Thaksin Shiniwathra and now sheik mansour al Zayed. If it means having a few trophies because of the likes of them I’d rather go back to the days of being owned by David Bernstein and watching Sean goater or Paul dickov thanks very much.

A new bar has been raised.

It will take almost perfection to finish ahead of City from now on.

Liverpool almost pulled of a perfect season and it still wasn't enough. Apart from City this season and last season, 97 points is the highest in top flight history so it goes to show how tough it will be to win the league from here on.

I don't like to go on about City's money or FFP, it is what it is.

The team and manager still had to perform and produce and however they went about it, they are the standard to beat at the moment. End of.

Well done to the players and the manager.

Fully deserved over 38 games.

I just hope Liverpool can repeat the same next season and go one better.

There will be a lot of pressure on them to perform next year.

And Liverpool are something city never were and that's Champions league winners. By that argument, that Liverpool won 5 European cups (and btw that was back when it was a proper champions league. Not half the table getting into the comp) Then all Man utds premiership wins cant be properly counted either. It's like saying it was a worse competition back then because Ferguson never got higher than 92 points. Its unheard of to have 97 points and not win it. But it shows the level it's gone to now. City are performing at such a level that even only losing one game all season isn't enough. But it's only the first step. Klopp has been building something special. The progression since he came in is startling. Same as Utds decline since Ferguson left. Carling cup final to a Europa league final , too consecutive champions league finals.
