In my opinion, curvy is another way of saying hourglass figure. I think the difference between curvy and fat is that curves won't go away if you lose weight but obviously fat does.

It's up to the person how they describe themselves though, it doesn't hurt anyone if they choose to say they're curvy but I think you can see a clear difference between a small waist and wide hips and a big stomach.

I’m fat, curvy, fabulous, chunky....etc etc. Who cares how a person describes themselves. If they are confident enough have clear pictures of themselves on their profile you can then decide to either message them or ignore them. Some people will find them sexy. Some won’t. Just like some people find slim/athletic types sexy and some don’t. This place would be very boring if we all liked the same things.

I'm curvy. Though some parts are more curvy than others. To some I'm curvy and to some I'm fat and to one gent I was not big enough. I expect people that are not happy with how I look to just not look and move on to someone they do like the look of. Descriptions are subjective.

I'm fat, so I have curves, so I'm curvy.

The issue is that our society sees fat as a bad word and shames people for being fat. There is such huge stigma associated with the word that most people aren't comfortable with describing themselves as fat, and people aren't comfortable with fat people describing themselves as fat - we are expected to use euphemisms like curvy, bbw etc.

I describe myself as fat on my dating profiles and I get SO MANY messages from men telling me "you're not fat you're gorgeous", "don't call yourself fat your body is sexy" etc etc. It's ridiculous.

These euphemisms are not fat people trying to be deceptive about their bodies - society has a problem with fatness and if we could accept fat people and fat bodies we would all be more comfortable with describing them as fat.

What's the difference?

Some people see curvy as a compliment and fat as the worst insult in the world. I call myself fat all the time, cos I've stopped seeing it as a negative. I actually find the word curvy a bit condesending, even though I know people mean it well. But look - does it really matter?

Just do what makes your dick hard and don't be worrying about labels etc. Life's too short man.

Fat, curvy, bbw, obese, none of it matters, if they want they can have more men than I could ever have women.

Most of the pressure comes from themselves, and women themselves largely decide what society says.

right now, some women are trying to redefine curvy, as a skinny woman with big boobs and big ass. So who knows what it means now, and what it will mean in 15 years.
