Hi, just wondering if there are many out there that would identify as polyamorous? We are interested in meeting other poly folks, making connections with people, more than just sex; or are we just wasting our time on fab?

Not at all there are lots of polyamorous folk on Fab, but polyamory, much like swinging, has different meanings to different people, so it can be a little trickier to find and connect with others who share your definition

We would consider ourselves this way inclined. We both have relationships outside of our marriage and are 100% transparent with each other. We play together and apart but our primary relationship is with each other.

Polyamory (from Greek p??? poly, "many, several", and Latin amor, "love") is the practice of, or desire for, intimate relationships with more than one partner, with the consent of all partners involved.

It's not about sexuality at all, I feel your misinformed. Yes it can be between partners of the same sex aswell but it's not defined to a sexuality

Louis Theroux had a documentary on about polymory people in the states a while a go. Maybe he would be better off trying to watch that, to figure out it is more about the freedom of different relationships, more than sexuality.

Where is bisexual in that unless you define bisexual as having more than one partner. That however isn't what bi in the bisexual represents, well not here anyways.

You can meet a girl, sweep her off her feet, have her heart pounding out of her chest, laughing, ticking every box she had to be ticked and some she didnt know she wanted ticked. Can leave her on cloud nine.

And next day she will think "Fuck, I can't meet him again".

Cause its too close to romance, and she just wants a casual thing.

poly doesnt mean gay or bisexual let's say 2 women one man are in a poly couple which one is bisexual if the man is attracted to the women and the women to the men. Not all poly trouples will be 3 bisexual usually it involves 1 but sometimes neither of the 3 can be. It's a much deeper bond than just sexual orientation tbh. I'm not poly btw.

Definitely polyamorous here, in two committed relationships which we choose to define as marriages (of legal, one handfasting). Both my wives have other relationships too, we're all poly by nature and pretty open about it.

I also run various London based poly meetups (purely social, in pubs and coffee shops) and the Polyday conference every October.

Poly apps /sites have been attempted but none has ever attracted many members. Fab isn't the best place but people do find poly partners here. The best bet is probably to find your local poly community, try searching for Facebook groups due example.

We're out there, social meetings and gatherings are organised in most parts of the UK and indeed the world.
