Waterford

The rescue helicopter is doing the rounds now in Waterford city.

Usually means someone's in the river.

It's quite upsetting hearing it at 1:15 at night.

Hope it all ends up good.

It nearly gave me a heart attack one night a couple of years ago. I was driving to a local shop at about 1 30 am, taking a back lane, when suddenly the whole car lit up. The hoors were directly over me with a big spotlight shining down on me for some unknown reason. Two minutes later a set of blue flashing lights appeared behind me.

Luckily I had thrown out the shovel and the carpet.

They do use drones to a certain extent. Flying times is short enough though and thermal imaging cameras on helicopters are hard to beat.
