Let’s meet! Then BLOCK

So this has happened a couple of times. Someone contacts me to meet. We confirm location and time for a social meet.

Shortly after, they block me

Then a quick unblock to send abuse for not showing up at the agreeed time.

Has this happened to anyone else?

It is a curious thing.

your imagination

That does seem odd. I've heard of people arranging meets before and then blocking, but that's the first I've heard of someone unblocking to complain about the meet not going ahead. Was it a single or a couple? If it was a couple maybe it was just crossed wires... One half blocked without the other knowing?

Hey, it was a single person.

At every step, I asked if my profile was really a match. They said yes.

I’m completely ok if my profile, age, body type, interests aren’t for everyone.

The odd thing is agreeing to meet. Then blocking.

YTF would I show up as arranged after that?

Mad.

I've had guys arrange to meet then just not show and then block. It's not just men who get messed around. Everyone gets cold feet but manners cost nothing.

It sounds like a fake profile. Were you speaking to them or did you see the person on cam first?

Fabs a numbers game mostly, find the real folk and move on from the wasters..

Roscommon

Unfortunately OP while there are many genuine ppl on here, there are loads of time wasters and fakes as well. I find a good way to at the very least try to confirm they are who they say they are is to ask for "quick cam on kik etc. So we both know we are who we say we are" Most of the time the fakes will just not message back. It's hit and miss...Just move on, but when you do find someone genuine that you click with...it is worth dealing with the inevitable wasters.

that's one of the strangest things i've heard on this site but some people are strange and get their kicks in different ways. ignore, block and move on i'd say. take the bad with the good on here is the best advice we can give you.

Could be one of several things; a fake, a fantasist or an asshole.

I've had similar happen to me - I'd have taken this personally earlier but now I don't pay much heed to it.

I fear that the anonymity of online chat gives people a sense of entitlement and over inflated opinions of themselves.
